In the ministry of an Australian previously English man, there is phenomena alike in charismatic ministry, ie Pentecostals, of which I am one.
But people fall while praying the Rosary...
I was Catholic and recall a small wonder from praying the Rosary. Also saw a friends who's Rosary turned to gold.
But for me, I cannot clearly discern this through. I was not doing wrong, honest prayer, with others, trusted church, ie, Sydney Catholics and Fr Peter Mary Rookey. Like he preached, I with other got the fragrance of nard. From Jesus burial.
I left for I needed more power than the traditions offered. And saw more of the Spirit in a scriptural manifestation in SCLC.
But Alan Ames from Perth, says he repented from deep sin. And encounters saints visiting him with messages... In his services in the RC church, people fall and are prayed for with the laying on of hands and are healed. I was disturbed, saints are not like this in the Bible, such as Revelations depictions, and never in Acts. I thought they must remain in Heaven, cannot be worldly, saw God's face, worked only in Heaven...
That is spelled "Alan Ames".
So I tested Alan, "How do you discern between a holy spirit and an unclean one?" He said he visualies the eucharist and the cross, and asks them if they acknolwedge Jesus is, something like the risen Lord, son of God seated at the right hand of the Father.
This made me more unsure. Visualising the bread, I doubt is transubstanciated, the neat cross, any visualing, no good with me, and spirits can lie.
He found some were not saints.
Like a Pentecostal he discerned someone in the congregation thought it was the Devil. Not talking with anyone. Laughed. I was afraid of blaspheming in confusion.
People there offered prayer, but it was a bit rushed, and no mention of persistance,of the healing asked for, like a half truth a half promise of something God promised me.
But they are seemingly honest decent people. And bought me a Rosary.
What do you fellows thing of charismatic like saint powered ministry, and how to discern, and of Alan Aimes?
