  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

OK, the "crying men" thread made me wanna do this one.

Thinking of movies, books, etc, finish this sentence:

"I cried when..."

I'll go first! I'm MAN enough to do that, lol.

I cried when Boromir died...*eyes well up just thinking about it*

I pretty much never flat out bawl because of a movie or show, but I will tear up from time to time. I remember tearing up watching the last episode of Band of Brothers when they were talking about what happened to all the soldiers after the war (voiceover during a baseball game they were playing).

I cried when Henry died, even though I was expecting it to happen. I also cried when Anne's son died. (two different books) I think his name is William, but I haven't read that series in so long. I basically cry when any character I have grown to love, dies.

That was a good one, but he redeemed himself!

Or when Frodo goes on the ship.

I was thinking of that moment, too. I hate a lot about P Jacksons' movies, but I can't watch that ending without bawling like a freakin idiot.

Just a reminder: this isn't crying about real life stuff, this is books, movies, stories, etc :) Trying to keep it light!

I cry every time I get to the end of "Where The Red Fern Grows".

I cry when Jane leaves Mr Rochester :(

I cry when Falkor rescues Atreyu.
