GOP Campaign Urges Post-Debate Spin

By EMILY FREDRIX, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - The assignment: go forth and spin. The objective: win the battle of the post-debate polls. The Bush-Cheney campaign is urging supporters to go online after Tuesday's debate between Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) and Sen. John Edwards (news - web sites) in hopes of defeating what it calls the "Kerry campaign spin machine."

The e-mail, which was sent early Tuesday, asks supporters to vote in online polls, conducted by most major networks after the debate, and to print debate fact checks to spread the word. Bush loyalists also were encouraged to post their views in message boards targeting swing-state voters, chat in person and online with would-be voters, and forward the GOP's e-mail call-to-arms to five friends.

I guess Kerry supporters need to get in the game!!!!:help: :help: :help:

this is actually in reaction to how well the dems won the spin game after kerry won last thursday. in 2000, the republicans won the spin game following each of the debates. this year, the dems are utilizing everything in their arsenal and there is quite the army of tech savvy dems frequenting the online world.

Kerry says things that make no sense whatsoever. If he did what he says he wants to do it would ruin the united states. Go Bush!!!
Hey, don't misunderestimate him.

I'd comment further, but I have to go put food on my family.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Voter again.

Shame about that, as this post is not just funny but is the most tersely cogent thing one can say in response to the post above.

The online discussion enables non-Americans to get in on this: correcting the spin to suit their own partisan agenda, perspective and prejudice.
I presume this keyboard contingent from abroad favours Kerry: as Kerry appears to wish to acknowledge that there is such a part of the world, the world beyond America; whereas for GWB we seem to be some sort of irritating abstraction, to be blended into the syntax of American foriegn policy.
I wonder if it will flow the other way: Americans online getting virtually involved in the politics and electoral processes of other countries; as opposed to the currently favoured method of such influence, which involves illegally sending in armies and trashing infrastructure.

Misunderestimate is a keeper. Smarvellous word.
