  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think it's fine in pregnancy, and generally what you eat in pregnancy kids cope with with breasfeeding - there has been a study done with garlic I think. Although it could be that they are more likely to eat it later if you ate it while breastfeeding.....

You may find that they don't like it when breastfeeding. You may also find it gives you heartburn more readily when pregnant - esp later pregnancy cause all your organs are pushed up a bit....

Give it a shot and see how it goes

I so totally craved Taco Bell while pregnant as well!

Yes, spicy may cause heartburn but I didn't have much of a heartburn problem during my pregnancies.

I generally avoided really spicy/gassy foods only during the first few months of breastfeeding--after about 3 months I ate pretty much anything and there was no problem. I just waited until the "gassy pain" baby phase was over. Then back to the pepperoncini and chili :)

Oh my gosh I eat spicy foods right now and I'm due in Oct.I think once the baby is born(hope you nurse) then all these foods need to be eliminated or lightly taken in as they cause colic in some infants.
I crave chili right now,red peppers,etc :)
