  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I thinkin of donating sperm once I turn 18.

What are the procedures like? I hear you have to give like 3 samples and get blood tests and doctor papers. And then you have to sign a contract where you must give once a week for like 6 months.

Thing is though, I kind of feel bad that I wouldn't have any knowledge of my kids. I would want them raised in a good environment, not a cruddy one. One where they can have their intellegence fostered and make the most of themselves.

Oh well. Comments?

I would think that anyone that can afford to be artificially knocked up would have to be in a stable economic situation, if you're worried about that. But you still don't know about the parents or how they will raise them.

I had considered donating, too (and no, this isn't one of those "testamonials" to try and convert you to Jerry Falwell-ism), but that issue (and the random chance that in the future my currently non-existant children might fall in love with their half-siblings, that would be trouble).
