Yeah, I saw it on Drudge this morning and it made me both laugh and feel oddly uncomfortable - but Im not sure why ... on either point. But when I read the title and saw the word skivvies I knew that was WOF Gold so I had to make a game of it! The bonus was because I thought the letter guessing would prolly dig pretty deep into the prize pool.

First time I tried this game, sorta enjoyed it.

Almost want to write a software program that allows me to play it better.

Generate a grid, auto word search for word size & given letters, drop words if letter isn't allowed (I.E. Guessed already & not shown), submit current list of words to a google search & display results in a window

Should only take about a week of coding to do that

I think I guessed a couple times once before on the long game but it moved too slowly for me.

I was basically baby-sitting my PC today as I transfered a ton of files from CD & DVD to our RAID and I had lots of free time. Normally I'm much more hands on with other projects. So I thought I'd kill some time with a SPEED version of WOF. If I ever have the extra time like I did today, I'll give it another go. Thanks again all.

Just got home and wanted to check in here since I have a little time to kill before heading out to the game. But to answer your question, yeah create a master template in Photoshop and edit the letter/tiles separately for each game. I updated the board after the first 9 games and I'll prolly do the same when I hit 20. Keeps it interesting for me and hopefully for you kids playing.

Ok, was just thinking it might be easier to have it generated via a PHP Script

I.E. You "Log in" and set up the current game (or multiple games? )
Enter the Correct Phrase & the Game board Gets generated.
You post a link to the image (www.mygameboard.com/game3.jpg) for example
Then just log in / update the guessed letters & the image is generated / updated automatically.
