it's not evolution, nothing to do with it. you are talking about physics now.

Black holes do not alter the speed of light at all, however when light falls in, it does not come back out again, because the escape velocity of any point past the event horizon is greater than c. this is not star trek, this is a direct prediction of Einstein's Relativity, a "theory" which has been demonstrated correct time and time again. a black hole is an object predicted by this theory, and those are it's properties. if you describe anything else, then kindly refrain from calling it a black hole, thankyou.

Black holes, like all gravity sources, attract light. Black holes, unlike other sources of gravity exert a pull so powerful that not even light can escape. Black holes in no way slow down light.

actually there are hints that it is decaying, albeit very slowly (this is not the hovindian decay, and would not help creationists at all)

Of course there's no real proof that casuality has to remain linear, and some wierd quantum effects that say it's at least somewhat non-linear...
