Everyone has to do it at some point in their school career. How do you feel about giving speeches or public speaking in general? Love it? Hate it?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't hate them but I don't like them either. I was told last time that I read from my notes too much. The notes are what made me not be as nervous I'd forget something.

Back when I was eighteen and had to take a speech class, I hated it. After having a career where public speaking was essentially what I did every day, extemporaneous speaking in front of large groups has become no big deal. I'm a student again now and I have to give presentations all the time. I'm generally nominated as the speaker for any and all group projects.

I used to not like it at all. And this sounds cliche but when im close to Him its a thousand times better...still sucks but its better haha... im not in school right now but just anxiety in general, but i do remember with school it was that way
