I had a diet for the past 6 months that kept me pretty healthy. However it did not help me take off some the unwanted weight i wanted to take off no matter how much i exercised, and trust me, i worked out pretty hard. See Sunrise, with further investigation, i found out that weight loss begins with what one puts into there body and not from all the efforts in exercising. Some foods are healthy no doubt, but they are not very helpful when one wants to shed off a few pounds. Take breads for instance. Bread was that one food that kept me from shedding those 21 pounds i wanted to take off, and it was whole wheat bread which has all types of healthy claims everywhere including weight loss claims if i'm not mistaken. I love breads far to much so rather than discontinuing breads, i replaced them. I researched that sprouted whole grain breads are not fattening and are far healthier than the breads we normally consume. I eat sprouted whole grain bread daily, even a few times a day and i continue losing weight rapidly. You will find sprouted whole grain breads on the frozen section of your nearest grocery store. I only buy the veggies i enjoy in a grocery store called whole foods where they sell healthy organic foods. I replaced regular rice with either brown or Jasmine. We buy Jasmine here because my Mom can't stand brown rice. Jasmine is good enough, so if you still buy the regular rice, replace it immediately. It is depleted of many essential minerals you need on a daily bases. For cooking use either Coconut oil or Canola, preferably Coconut oil for weight loss. Do not eat nor buy processed foods, do not eat fried or greasy foods. Stay away from cow milk really. I don't know if there is a person in this earth that loves milk more than i, but seriously speaking, i had to let that go. My brother use to tell me milk only makes you as fat as the cow. He wasn't kidding, milk could easily put a halt to your weight loss. You like eggs? Your body absorbs about 88% of the proteins in eggs. That is more than the 78% of the proteins your body absorbs from fish and far more than the 68% it absorbs from Cow meat. My strategy with eggs is to eat them with the yolk twice a week and only the white of the egg everyday if i like. I learned to check the labels of everything i am going to buy. If i see anything that is going to ruin my diet in the labels, i will not buy the product. I personally stopped buying processed juices in the stores in favor of making my own juices here at home with my juicer. Apart from the fact that my home made juices taste way better, they have also contributed in helping me take weight off. For some reason the processed juices only contribute in helping me put more weight which is not ideal. Stay away from juices and Sodas.
