I understand and am aware of the word. I am not interested in the love of money and the prosperity gospel.

God was the originator of "speaking." He spoke things into existence (Gen). Even if it's only allegorical, that is the way He chose to express His way of doing things. Further, Is 55: - So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. I could go on. There is a lot mentioned in the Bible about faith and what is spoken. Prov 18: 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Mark 11:23- For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
I could spend all day on this topic. No need. I would guess you aren't interested, and just really want to criticize. Where I don't agree (she was just asking) with speaking money into a wallet as a specific ritual, God can do whatever He wants, and has. Moreover, He has taken great pains to pen countless various ways that He does do things so that people can't say that God doesn't do this or that. He has done His best to keep man from "putting Him in a box" and deciding how and what He will do. Alas, it stop people: wall coming down after walking around it 7x, dipping in a muddy sea, donkey talking, men being taken up to heaven in a chariot, mud being rubbed in eyes, money from a fish's mouth, raising a hammer head, etc,. He does try, but it doesn't always work.

If you think your fellow brother is in error, why don't you lovingingly, rather than critically, try to reveal truth through Scripture? Rather than come in with a Holier than though attitude?

I assume when you say "prosperity gospel" you are referring to those who have gotten out of balance and don't just use money as tool or to whom God is speaking to when He says, "I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers." Money is a tool that was by God's design. He has reasons why He makes people rich. He has reasons why He puts wealth into people's hands. There is a God-given need for money. God obviously wants to bless, look at the Garden of Eden, look at what God promised Israel if they walked upright before Him (Deut 28, etc), and look at the description of the New Jerusalem in Rev. All of what we call wealth is create by God FOR man. Not for Himself.
Are there reasons why not everyone has money? Of course. Does God want people to be satisfied with where they are regardless of their financial state? Sure. Does God want people who He's blessed financially to love the money more than Him or love Him merely for what He can give them? Nope. But money is a tool that can be used for God-given good. It can feed the poor; it can further the spread of the gospel, etc. There is nothing biblical about it being holy to be poor. If anything, it is not a blessing to be poor and those who are lazy are poor.
"Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man." Prov 6:10
The rich man's wealth is his fortress, The ruin of the poor is their poverty." Prov 10:15
Rather than 'loving" money, why don't you use money to bless people, or ministries, or organizations that serve others in some way, etc? What would be wrong with that?

As with the person who started this thread, I have been attending a calvary chapel church. They preach right out of the word of God without manipulation. I have decided to do what is my calling and my gift of evangelism. I have often had a problem because I do not want to bring people into a church where the Spirit is not moving but instead the people are into mysticism. I am happy to bring people to this church where they can hear the word of God. I have dealt with many Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses in the past and still do. It is very hard to deal with people who are so entrenched in lies, another gospel. It is hard to know that their religion is deception and to deal with their misuse of the word of God.
I agree. Nothing is wrong with being prospered to help others. I received help today to get some food in my house and when they gave me extra I gave 4 cantaloupes away to some neighbors to help. The people asked how much I want for them and I said "The best thing about receiving something for free is being a good steward and giving it away for free. God says "Give freely what has been given freely. But when people preach that if you give to God He will give back and all their energy is toward giving to receive riches and supporting a prosperity gospel instead of spreading the word and the gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified then there is a problem, greed. I cannot argue with the word rightly divided. Though you do not, others use the word to manipulate.

1. Inanimate objects in scripture are considered non living things like the things used in the work of the priests and in the book of Zechariah with the lamps and the golden candlesticks in Revelation etc. even though they represent the angels of the church who were the preachers of the church who were real people.
The fig tree is not considered an inanimate object.
2. The Word of Faith doctrine of naming and claiming it and speaking things into existence is not exactly true in the complete context of Jesus ministry and teachings or at least how people took it to the extreme.
3. Just like any other doctrine there are extremes.
4. When Jesus preached to the nation of Israel he was offering the Kingdom of Heaven rule which is promised to the jewish nation through the Abrahamic and Davidic covenants. Abrahamic being the land and the Davidic as the Kingdom rule.
In the days of Jesus they could had have faith to achieve the same results as Jesus. This would seem to go in line with Paul calling things into existence things that are not existent. If it is true that it takes faith to move a literal mountain then if it did not it would be because people didn't really have faith.
It is said that in the millennial kingdom when the curse is lifted we will only have to speak and it will be done. This means we will have to have no faith. So if the person is only speaking and not really believing in faith could be the reason things don't come to be. There are other reasons such as God's will being done in earth as in heaven as in the Lord's prayer etc.
One might command an inanimate object such as a mountain to physically fall but unless God has a good reason for that to happen it most likely will not happen. You could have faith and most likely it will not happen.
At the same time, one could have faith to move the mountain literally to say build a church there or whatever and God could speak to the owner of the mountain and they could bulldozer it down. But according to the scripture speaking alone will not cause inanimate objects to do whatever you command it to do. Without proper faith and God's will working together it is hard pressed to call something into being. In the millennial kingdom we will be able to do this and think of where we want to be and be there. Food for thought Jerry kelso

Definitely not! I prefer KJV but I do not follow a pastor who calls on the death of Barack Obama or believes that homosexuals should get the death penalty. I do think the president is a baby killer and an immoral person but God is the ultimate judge. Steven should have submitted to the authorities at the checkpoint instead of being so rebellious. We should stand for our rights as Americans but not in a way that is violent and disrespectful to police who are doing their jobs. Homosexuality is a sin but we should be loving and let them know that God can deliver them from bondage.

Get the soil right, plant the seed, water, and God makes it grow. Kenneth Copeland is not God and Mr. Copeland has been known to say "God says I am, well I am too". The same lie in the garden, not the truth that we are to become like Christ but that as satan said "I will be like the Most High". Why are people so afraid to search out these people and see what they really preach? I cannot be an accuser of the brethren like satan if I am exposing someone who is not a brother or sheep but a wolf.
