Speaking in tongues - amazing experience

I have just had a most amazing experience, so much so it's almost made me feel shaky! I went upstairs to read my Bible and pray; I'm now finding my English prayer language is much easier and think that's a result of my tongues.

Anyhow, as usual, I thought I'd like to pray in tongues at the end. I normally allow myself 15 minutes as that's a good time to 'practise' the language. I started as normal and then, after about 15 minutes or so, it was like someone flicked a switch inside me. I started to get emotional and cried a little bit. I don't have any reason to be emotional (not the dreaded PMT time and not over tired!) so kept praying. My language came a bit faster. I can't tell you now what words I was saying; they were literally streaming out of me. As the words streamed out of me my tears came until I was literally sobbing. All the time I was praying. I lifted my hands up to praise God and ended up with my hands flung right back, my head back and tears streaming down my face.

I now feel revitalised and that I have released something. I think the Spirit has helped me over a big hurdle that has been blocking me somehow. I feel so thrilled I wanted to share this with you.

YEAH, IT IS AWESOME, and wierd. What you experienced is not all that unusual. As you get close to the Lord, you often pickup His feelings on something, and He is a man of sorrows.

There are times when you are praying over a situation in tongues, and you may not even know what the situation is, but someone might really realy need prayer right then.

There was a time the Lord got me up early to read an e-mail that came to me. I had an old friend that was a missionary in Tonga. He along with a group were planning a Christian music event and were making all the arraignments. Groups were coming, plans wer made, when suddenly the place were going to have the event feel through because of some miscommunication. They had to have the place, and the e-mail was asking from prayer.

I started to throw up a quick prayer on it, and it went into tongues. More and more the prayer in tongues came, and with tears and sobbing that there was no way I could understand. My wife got up and came in, It was hard to explain because I was still speaking in tongues quitely while appearing to be in hugh distress. It was a little while before I stopped speaking in tongues and could explain to her why I was sobbing.

It's a good think my wife also speaking in tongues and understands these things. I was afraid she's think one of my kids died or something.

Another e-mail was sent down later that day and they got that place in somewhat amazing circustances, explained the e-mail. The event took place, and so the Lord's kids didn't die.

You tend to pick up the feelings of God on a subject, when the Spirit of God manifests in the gift of tongues and prays through you. It is quite a feeling being that close to the Lord!

That is absolutely wonderful. God is so gracious and merciful, isn't He? If we just give Him time for fellowship and humble ourselves, He comes to us and lifts us up on the wings of eagles.

I'd advise you to see this as an invitation to more and more of His presence and an invitation into deeper and deeper waters of fellowship in Him. Go wherever the Holy Spirit leads!

This question is a very interesting question!!

What happens when you try to keep the Lord from speaking through you like suggested, is that the fire inside burns hotter. You can tell the Spirit to go away and He will leave, and you can also pray silently and even inside like we often do when we pray to God, but it feels like you need to pray out loud. Still if you don't send the Spirit away, and you don't pray when the feeling comes on you the fire burns hotter inside.

You can see the principle in Jeremiah 20:9 But if I say, "I will not remember Him Or speak anymore in His name," Then in my heart it becomes like a burning fire shut up in my bones; And I am weary of holding it in, And I cannot endure it.

That is what happens when the Spirit is urging you to speak in tongues and you try not to. The fire just gets hotter and hotter inside and you just get weary of trying to hold it in.

Now the reason the question is so interesting is not because of what happens, but because of when and why it happens like it does.

Jeremiah wrote what he did in verse 20:9 because the Lord had told him to prophesy against Jeresalem. When he did the cheif preist had him put in stocks and beaten. So when Jeremiah got out, he was determined that he was no longer going to tell others the messages from the Lord. So the Lord put a fire in Jeremiah that would just burn hotter and hotter until Jeremiah gave in and did what the Lord wanted, and like even Jeremiah knew he should do.

This relates to the gift of tongues, not only because of the fire but because sometimes we need to be praying and often praying in tongues is setting things up in the spirit realm. Yet when you do that, demons are likely to try to get even or stop you because of the effect you praying brings. Then because of the attack from demons, you think to yourself, 'that's it, I'm not praying in tongues anymore', and so the next time that feeling comes you, you try to suppress it. So the Lord has it burn hotter and hotter so that you get tired of holding it in.

Now a quick though: If you know the Lord wants you praying, and you know that it is a good thing to do, what reasons would you have for not doing it. Certainly because of the fear of persecution, you might not want to do it. Yet also consider who might be reminding you of that fear. The demons do not want you praying in tongues. I don't check the spirits like Paul, who said he took all thought captive to Jesus Christ.

So where do the thoughts about the gift of tongues being from the devil originate from? Where does the question; what would happen if you just refused to speak in tongues, come from? Would we on our own even think about trying to hinder the work that God wants to do through us? Perhaps, but if we did think about trying to hinder the work that God wants to do through us, there is bound to be a reason. The reason might be persecution, or it might be that we heard from someone [spirit] that we really shouldn't be listening to.

Paul was right to take thoughts captive to Jesus Christ. How else are you going to know where the wind in coming from or where it is going? Being born again means hearing the wind, but doesn't mean that we ourselves know where it comes from or is going. Beter talk to the Lord and find out what is happening.

Why on earth would you want to? God should control our tongue not us. James 3 Somehow deliberately trying to stop your tongue from praising and worshipping God with the heavenly gift he has given seems as bad to me as cursing him.

It wouldn't occur to me to hold it in - I do it even when I'm driving on my own; I expect people think I'm talking on a hands-free phone! I've found that when I am going to some place I'm a bit nervous about (ie when I was driving to do a taster session for my baby signing classes; always makes me jittery), I prayed in tongues all the way there and then all the way home afterwards. I think the Spirit has something to tell me when I'm praying in tongues.

AMEN!!! This is so exciting to "experience" this through you! YES, the Spirit always has something to say to us! I love the 'revealing' of what He is saying! SO neat.

Notice that when you circulate the fire, you'll have more sensitivity in your hands. If you don't circulate and release the fire, you won't have that sensitivity in your hands. Hold the fire and release them during laying of hands for instantaneous healing. Know what "laying of hands" is all about. Hold that fire and lay hands on a person with cancer and cure them instantly. The "Wind" knows what to do. The fire balances on His own. No worry about Spontaneous human combustion. If you break the circulation, meaning that the fire flows from your belly to the top of your head and back down to your belly and around again is broken by disconnecting your tongue from the roof of your mouth. Make it useful by containing that fire and use them for healing via laying of hands. Try it and you'll see for yourself. It works!

You don't hinder what God has already done for the believers. Once the fire is burning in the belly or heart, it stays there forever, always turning and burning. You can't and don't stop it. It's done according to God's Own Will.

I still don't remember what I was doing before I was born but the Lord knew me. You feel the wind and follow the wind. The wind orbits. You track and follow. The wind guides you as you follow. If you use your mind to follow, then you'll lose the path it goes. You must let the wind take you wherever it goes and not use your will to follow. The wind is information. Information knows what to do with ailments. As you follow, the Wind cures diseases. The wind corrects. You catch the wind and go with it according His own will and not yours.

The Spirit is in balancing Himself in the Elects. The believers can't curse Him since the Saved was already known by the Lord. You can't reject the Holy Spirit as being the Sheep. His promises rings true to all believers. The Sheep can't reject or stop praising due to His Will or promises and the elects or the saved will never lose Salvation and at the same time was given to Jesus Christ. Once the Lord hands the Saved over to Jesus Christ, the promises will always stay the same and never changes. It's an guarantee to the Sheep not the goats.

How can you even think of cursing or doubting Him? Didn't you hear the Wind? The Elects can't deliberately reject the Lord, It would be impossible since the promises were already made. It's called "Grace".

If theres too much Fire, The Spirit got Water. Too much Fire will dry your lungs and cause sickness. Water comes to rescue. The continuous balancing act. The Kidney cools the lungs and brings the Elects back to a balancing act and creates healthy results and at the same time creates healing power to share with others and allows the cripple to walk again. Remember the Fire rests just below the heart (see the illustrations of the flame under the heart of Jesus paintings) and many Bible quotes of the "Flame in the Belly". Sink the Fire and raise the spirit to the head. Follow the Wind and the Wind will show you how. There, a halo is created. Many can actually see halos above the heads of the saints and simple folks that circulates and cultivates the Fire. A physical glow around the head. Try it for yourself.

Thanks for your insights. I don't feel any fire but it's still early days. Instead I feel something in my chest; a slight pressure there. I don't think I'm about to have a heart attack!!! Each time I feel it I try to pray in tongues and it seems to go almost immediately.

You're sinking the fire and raising your spirit to your head with a slight visual halo effect and become like floating or lightness with a clear mind and happy thoughts. This is the power that allows you to walk on water. It calms your emotional mindset and soothes you. The fire has heaviness and responds to a different kind of gravitational events.
Some like to count to calm their minds or spirits but trying to count can also create tension in the chest. Counting is good but challenging yourself to complete the count can also create tension. It's like a man rolling a big ball up a hill and he feels he has completed it on top of the hill and rolls the ball back down to start over. Count 1 to 10 with your breaths and start over again at the count of 10 breaths. You feel the slight faint tension when you complain about having to count again at the bottom. It's impatience. Hurrying is no good, either. The man with the ball on top of the hill feels joy but he has to start over at the bottom of the hill again with slight depressed feeling. You pray without expecting an end. You continue to pray like theres no end. Prayer all the time keeps the tension away without any complaints. Others may guide you to a feeling that you have to complete something and get results but You'll need to pray and cultivate on daily basis without the tension of the complaints that you've reach to a goal. Theres is no goal . The goal is never-ending. You don't dance for joy cause you completed rolling the ball to the top of the hill, You continue back down the hill and start over without even knowing it. It's better to think of around and around rather than thing theres a top and theres a bottom. It's continuous. You don't continuously speak in tongues all the time. You live it and live like that all the time. Theirs no pressure valve. It's always opened and you're always praying. The tension in the chest will go away and stay away.
Try it and see for yourself, on your own without your minister guiding or coaching you. The coaching from the pulpit creates that tension and losses the continuous flow of the Wind.
If you bury a man in the sand with his head sticking out and tell him the funniest joke, he won't laugh and respond in an unemotional way. The sand is compressing on his chest and restricting his breaths and he won't laugh at the funny jokes. The breath tells the story of emotions. Your breathing also creates tension in your chest. Excessive breathing along with continuous long bodily bouncing will create an electrical/static charge in the brian in a bowl shape skull and creates a feeling of an egg broken on top of your head with a warm downward feelings towards the toe , with a visual effects of seeing light or illuminance, laughing or blissful joy as well as seizure like motions. Drowning victims see light in a tunnel in cold water due to the lack of oxygen. Oxygen is another healing element. That also heals but you can hold and contain the Fire for unselfish reasons, curing others. Counting your breaths and pray all the time will take care of it. Count your breaths without punishing yourself for losing the counts or not reaching a goal. Once you stop punishing yourself, your chest will open with Fire in proper circulation. This is the proper path to Salvation.
Remember that the Saved, the Elects or the Sheep will always be the Lords and His promises are guaranteed and will be kept true. Knowing the Promises made to the Chosen will also relieve tensions throughout the entire body, soul and spirit. With the mindset of God's Will will cure and heal deeply.

ARE YOU CHECKING THE SPIRITS?

My Lord has never told me to just blindly follow what I am feeling. My Lord has always told me discern between good and evil. The devil may not have ultimate power of the Lord's sheep, but even Jesus was tempted by Satan. You had better make sure who you are listening to!

You can pray in tongues and at the same time get a confrimation that Jesus Christ is Lord, and the Jesus Christ came in the flesh.

There will be many that healed the sick in His name, and He is going to tell them "I never knew you."

God does tell us to trust Him, but He does not tell us to trust Him like we might trust a hypnotist.

The fire, the earthquake, and the stong wind of the Lord are great, but we follow the small voice of the Lord, and don't prohibit the speaking in tongues. What are you doing by holding it in? What are you doing by following a wind mindlessly?

The Holy Sprit is omni-present, but He is also a respector of wishes. So while He might not actually be able to leave, He can and will certainly leave you alone if you wish.

There are many inconsistances with what was posted above and what I normally hear from My Lord. The Lord gives wisdom, and that does not mean just mindlessly following!

He also gives the gift of tongues, yet when the devote men got the gift they are heard in their own language. So even the gift is meant to get us hearing the Lord in our own language.

So did the Lord specifically tell you to hold back the Spirit. Are you following the small voice of the Lord, or some big wind bag telling to you to just trust in him and don't think that you could be decieved?

There is another man adimittly posting about sinning that doesn't check the spirits because he thinks that he can't be decieved either. We are told to not believe every spirit, not to mindlessly follow just any spirit that we are picking up.
