My son brought me these seeds and wants me to grow them for him. Does anyone have any suggestions.....the directions say to soak the seeds in black tea before planting. He loves loves loves hot peppers and anything of the like.

He said they were like the hottest of the hottest.....he got them at some "special" grower of them in South Carolina. I grow all kinds of stuff but never these kinds......I cant eat stuff that hot, but hes young and loves it.

Hi Solomon's Porch, Never heard this one before but seems to be something in it, camomile tea is also said to be good for seed germination. And chillies seem to be one of those wonder foods, Chili Pepper Health Benefits. The things one learns at CF

Have capsicums growing and forming fruit now so have to remember to water them they in a trough.
they not the chili pepper kind but the same family - bell peppers. We call them capsicums here.

New Zealand, southern hemisphere. It's the islands next to Australia.

I looked at the variety they are 'California Early' so..must be imported from the US!

Well, our native foliage is mostly ferns. Apparently you can eat some ferns but we dont really.

All the fruit and vegs seem to come from other parts of the world.

The kiwifruit was orignally from china and called a chinese gooseberry.

Puha is a weed that Maoris like to eat. Goes well with pork.
