sorry, never heard of it. The only fighting games I've ever loved were the Soul Edge series, in arcade and console (especially arcade, even though I'm horrible at it and always will be... so many quarters down the drain), mostly because they are so realistic as far as swordplay goes. I'm not very good at reflexes, you see, but I love fencing. Ironic, isn't it? ;)

why hasn't anyone mentioned Raphael? he pwns j00 all!! sure, his big attacks are easily dodged, and somewhat weak, but once you start combining thrusts with Pirouette swings, you can consider yourself pwned, ring-out or knockout. I'd rather have blurringly fast, however weak, advances than several big combos or uber moves that are slow and hard to execute. besides that, he's incredibly easy to pick up, imho. he has quick, close thrusting moves for long-range enemies and sweeping, fluid swings for long and medium range enemies. besides, he's French, he has frills on his sleeves, and he uses a sabre. those three reasons alone should be enough to pwn the competition ;)

I rate him middle-tier. But he can't stand up to the fluidity of Mitsurugi, the impossible to read actions of Kilik, the quick reach of Ivy or the devasting combos of Taki.

My wife likes Raphael.

I like Kilik, because once you get the Jingu Rod, you can do back-B and hit the AI when it thinks it's out of reach; if you get the timing right, you can end a lot of fights in four hits without the computer even swinging a weapon.
