• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I can assure you that you are most definitely not evil. You're the furthest thing from it. You're hurting is all.

I don't know if you are already, but are you seeing a therapist or anything? If not, I highly recommend it. It can get tiring after awhile, sure, but it's quite helpful. Recovery is a slow and painful and frustrating path, but it's a good path.

I agree with Chaoticfirefly. Furthermore, how do you know your husband would be better off without you? Have you asked him? And even *if* that were true, there are better ways of fixing that problem than killing yourself. As my therapist once told me, "Don't fix a temporary problem with a permanent solution." Please start talking to a therapist.

he'd be better off without me

For years I was very sick and I used to think that my wife and children would be better off without me, now that I have become a lot better I can see that it were lies that I believed and that my wife and children would have hurt heaps if I would have killed myself.

Please seek help, things can improve again

Make sure that you are safe from yourself, suicide is a horrible way to go. It dumps your inner pain on everyone else who loves you.
