  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So, my hips and shoulders are killing me. My lower back pain has actually eased up quite a bit, but my pelvis and hip bones hurt so badly that I can't sit down comfortably on anything other than my birthing ball. I can understand that pain since I'm 34 weeks now and close to being able to birth, but what's up with the shoulder pain? Anyone else get it?

It's because of the relaxin(sp?)-- all of your joints loosen up. The purpose is so that your pelvic outlet can become bigger to hold and birth your baby, unfortunately it is not just confined to one area of your body.

ALso I think it has to do with not being able to move as freely while you sleep, and you end up in one position for much longer than you normally would.

If you can- take some nice hot baths. I always make sure I clean the tub really well before I get in, and I also add like a cup or so of Kosher salt to my bath water to stave off UTIs. There is also this awesome stuff called Tiger Balm (the white is less intense than the red) which you can find at a Whole Foods type grocery store-- which is like a Ben- gay type liniment with will soothe your achy joints and muscles.
