Could anybody recommend soothing sound CDs? As for music I like the Music to Paint By: albums by Phil Keaggy. But I'm mainly looking for CDs with sounds involving water sounds, but I don't like birds chirping. Thanks.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wish the ones I have were still avaiable as they have scripture and music or scripture music and water sounds. They are on cassette so I have no way of copying them, but I think it would be okay to do that as you can no longer purchase them. Pm me if you are able to copyt them or know how to copy a cassette to cd, or csomeone who could. . .lemonflavor said:

Thanks for the kind offer Alive again. I prefer those without words or singing so that I can read or sleep to them. So far I have found these:

and have found an albums worth that I like within the top 100. I could explore the ones I like further by looking at the artist's CD. It's under New Age - Ambient but they're harmless really.
(It says Dance & DJ - Ambient but it's really under New Age. Ambient is the category I'll be looking at more.)
