The only album that I've ever had that would always help me to go to sleep and calm me down after a stressful day is:

John Serrie - And the Stars go with You

It's the best ever and we still listen to it. The first time I picked it up was when I was 19, I believe. Got it from a planetarium, but nowadays I've seen it just about everywhere. In particular at Best Buy.

I should also add there's a lot of relaxing New Age stuff...but if you are sick of Pure Moods...that may not work for you.

Actually, it's just Orinoco Flow I'm sick of (there might be one or two other songs also, but that's the one that sticks out). I actually do like artists like Enigma and Delerium, and from the songs I've heard, Enya's other stuff isn't annoying like that.

I just thought of another one. Pat Methany Group's, "still life talking" is a nice one to sleep to. very calm, peacefull.

if i leave radiohead's Amnesiac or Ok Computer in my cd player as i'm going to sleep, i usually have some wierd dreams.

I used to share a flat with a Christain brother, he got me into 'Van the Man' (Van Morrison) and we still laugh about me falling asleep to the b-side of Hard Nose The Highway,, I had it on replay he came into my room at about 3 am and switched it off!

It's just so laid back, I wouldn't listen to it driving my truck

yes!! The Pearl Harbor soundtrack is terrific...except for when Faith Hill sings.

...and Titanic and Braveheart...good, good, good. I also have this CD called Solo Guitar from Lifescapes which has a lot of great original music on it. That's what I sleep to during loooooonnggg car rides.

Definitely something that's considered "easy listening". Enya is the first artist that comes to mind.
