Jim Morrison was on a spiritual search. But he chose the short cuts which took him to an early grave. A waste of talent. I think he was more than just a drug and booze filled rocker. His lyrics show he was at least searching for life's meaning.

Stephen Schwartz is best known for "Godspell," "Pippin," "Wicked," and Disney cartoons such as "Pocahontas," "Hunchback of Notre Dame," and "The Prince of Egypt."

This stand-alone song, "Forgiveness' Embrace," expresses a profound truth in a very beautiful way.

FYI for folks having trouble posting videos, usually if you search in Youtube and post the URL of the page with the video itself, that'll sometimes turn into an embedded video. If that doesn't work (And sometimes it doesn't), clicking the "film strip" icon to the left of the "+" icon and right of the "picture" icon (with the mountain), and putting the youtube URL in there *always* works. :)

Yes actually does a ton of spiritual songs, but mainly they are very abstract and draw from a lot of sources for inspiration that include other major religious and some of the general spirituality that was in the air in their time (Not that that there's anything wrong with that- one of my favorite bands). Here is an early one that is pretty explicitly Christian. Not very good musically compared to their later stuff (or perhaps even in general ;) ), but much more on topic for the thread. :)
