So, I figured we could post youtube clips on this thread of songs from what are for the most part totally secular rock or pop bands and musicians, that have Christian or religious references that are a core part of the song. So, no Christian rock or hymns- just musicians and bands known for their success singing about women and fast cars and whatnot who one day happen to write a song based on some sort of bible or liturgical reference and then go back to doing what they normally do.

I'll post a few examples in the next few posts on the thread to give people an idea of what I'm talking about.

Lets try to stay away from Christmas music, because its the wrong time of year for it and almost everyone does a Christmas album or song at some point (Maybe that can be a thread for Christmas time).

I consider this a spiritual song, is it OK F and B?

it is such an underestimated song with great lyrics

Well Cat Stevens was on a spiritual journey wasn't he as his albums show.I heard he suffered big prejudice because of his Muslim faith a few years ago, in the UK I think?
