Sometimes, the purpose is unclear...

A good friend of mine died last week. I got home from his funeral 50 minutes ago. I have been praying a lot about this...

He was 33 with a wife and three young children and now he's lost to them. I am finding it hard to understand Gods purpose behind this. All I can do is pray for strength. For his family and friends.

Once a year, for the past four years, someone dear to me has died from cancer. Four years ago it was my great grandmother, 82yo, the following year it was my grandmother, 61yo, followed by my great grandfather, 84yo, and now a very close friend, 33 yo.

I can't understand why God would allow such a thing as Cancer too exist. Your prayrs and replies are most most welcome.

God tells us that His ways are not our ways. I don't believe we'll every really know His reasonings about things this side of Heaven. I'm praying for you. I know it's hard.

When I lost my wonderful mom to cancer, someone gave me a book called Confessions of a Grieving Christian. It really helped me put my huge feelings into words. It might help you, too, and I'm saying a prayer for you right now. So many people are hurting right now because of cancer, physically and emotionally. It helps me just to read other people's struggles and what they have taken from them. I hope it helps you, too.

I understand your pain. I lost my husband to cancer. I know that God allows free will. Man has created an environment that leads to cancer through smoke, additivies to our foods, chemicals in our water, etc. Still, why my husband? Somehow, through time and prayer, I have to trust in Him. You are in my prayers.
