  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello, everyone! I would like to share something that has been very helpful to be during times of emotional upheaval. When I am angry, hurt, or upset with someone I write a letter just pouring out my heart. Really letting them have it! I get every bit of the venom out and onto the paper. Then, I go back, and "replace the lies with truth." I get my Bible, and go sentence by sentence and look up what God has to say about it. I mark out each sentence and write the verse above it. Then I pray for forgiveness and help and healing. For me, it has been such a blessing. It is much more productive than locking myself in the bathroom and crying, or telling someone off! lol! Maybe it can help someone else. Love, Christi

Wow, this sounds really great Christi. My technique has been to write the letter and then send it. Then as the roof comes crashing down around me, the Lord brings to my mind various scriptural truths having to do with rash judgement, kindness, speaking the truth in love, etc. etc. In this way has the truth been beaten into me over the years, but I think yours is the far wiser way! May God grant you the grace to persist in this very great grace he has given you...
