Look what I found on Facebook:
"Jesus taught and showed us the way. He suffered horribly, died, and rose to get us to respond so we can be forgiven. He will return to judge the world and welcome into his kingdom only those who gave their lives to the will of God and the good of their neighbor.
In response to this, I (the reader) have decided to do the following:
A.) To attend church services most Sundays, read the bible or pray for a few minutes each day, and give a small amount of my income to help pay my pastor's salary while I spend most of my money on things I don't actually need, most of my free time on fun activities and entertainment, and most of my energy pursuing a higher quality of life than is necessary for me/my family.
B.) To faithfully attend church services and other weekly church events, to pray a few times each day, to give a decent sized chunk of my income to my church and to missions but not so much that it will affect my lifestyle in any significant way, to invite people to my church here and there, and to do bible study or community group once a week or so, while I spend most of my money on things I don't actually need, most of my free time on fun activities and entertainment, and most of my energy pursuing a higher quality of life than is necessary for me/my family.
C.) To do what Jesus said to do, which is to just give him my whole life - to wave goodbye to the selfish lifestyle I was living, stop wasting time and money on things that are not necessary or useful for the mission my Master has given me, and strive forward with all my heart like I actually believe this stuff and like Jesus is really everything to me, learning to obey all he commanded, honestly seeking to prioritize my neighbor's needs as though they were my own, trying to help as many people as I can to be ready to give Jesus an account with whatever gifts and abilities God has given me, and staying awake and ready for my Master to return at any time - all the way to the end.
Which of these options is the only one that really makes sense in light of what Jesus has done?
If you are claiming to be a Christian, and if you had to circle the option that most closely describes how you are actually responding to Jesus, which one would it be? If it is not option C.), why not? What are you waiting for? I promise that, while it comes with an enormous price tag, option C.) is far more exciting and fulfilling, and that it has something far better waiting for us at the end of it, than option A.) or B.).
Please let me know if you'd like to talk."

My response was:
"I wish I can say that I am on C, but I may still tiptoeing between C and B, I fear, even closer to B. I do have an assembling, and no one asks for a tithe there, and I make sure to pass out not only tracts, but also teachings about God's word generally , but I still have the weekness of spending money on sweets. I need to make sure that NOTHING I spend money on is something useless, and sweets certainly are [useless]. They aren't good for us. I plan to be a gospel musician like brother Brackin [Sounds Like Reign], however, I do fear that my motives are not perfect."

I have fully understood what this brother meant, and no, before you ask, he didn't command asceticism. We certainly can have things to enjoy, no doubt, but what do we use it for? A motorcycle as an example is a fun object, but why don't we put some Bible verses on it? And then, do we only use it to enjoy ourselves, or do we use it to travel to those that need our help? After all, we are ministers full time, Christ is no hobby, but our saviour who died for us, and we ought to be ready to die for him too.
"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. " 1 Corinthians 10:31

I would respond by saying looks like another way someone is trying to earn their way to Eternal Life.

welcome into his kingdom only those who gave their lives to the will of God and the good of their neighbor.

Not a single mention of believing in Jesus to receive God;s free gift of Eternal Life salvation and become a born again child of God. That is how one enters the Kingdom.

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

I don't think this is what he meant, rather how to be a real disciple.

I believe the atonement is two fold. We are reconciled with the Father but we are also reconciled with each other. We re to become part of the church or the body of Christ. We are to love all people even our enemy if we have any.

Well i am only going by what you posted (above in italics) in your opening post about what was written on facebook.

I did not see any mention of belief in Jesus. Because if there is no belief in Jesus, a person can have all the obedience and love they can muster up. But they do not have the Life of God, which is only received by belief in Jesus.

The reason why he mentioned it because it was directed to Christians only.

I actually see posts like that on Facebook as being very pharisaical.

Most people see sin as that thing just on the other side of the line of what they would do.

Are they comfortable with a 50 thousand dollars a year income? Anyone making more than 75 thousand is just greedy.

Are people comfortable with wealth? Poverty is laziness and sin ..

You could go around and around and sin is always whatever others are doing.

A better method for living the Christian life is to use the Word of God and His Holy Spirit, with the discernment He gave us and prayer, to make certain that we are being good stewards of whatever gifts we were given.

In my opinion that will look different for each of us regardless of the presence or absence of sin.

Clarify the point this person was making. So are they saying the only Christians who will be welcomed into the kingdom of God will be Christians that do
those who gave their lives to the will of God and the good of their neighbor.

So what happens to the other Christians.

So what happens to the other Christians.
Just what the Bible Says. God warns everyone what will happen to themselves. Even christians.

People like listening to other than God.
Then they get distracted, impure, wrong ideas.

God warns everyone what will happen to themselves.
So people get saved because of fear? I am a Christian because God has answers and solutions. I understand that we are not to love the gifts but the giver of the gifts. Still, you cannot have one without the other.

According to Hebrews 10:31,

it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

This verse serves as a warning to those who have rejected God’s mercy and ignored His warnings. The context of Hebrews 10 emphasizes the importance of perseverance in faith and the consequences of apostasy.
