Our freedom of speach here is being greatly impeded with the inability to defend ourselves in the report section and large amounts of trad influence there. I honestally do not understand why the trads come here. No offense, but your reason to come here must be nothing more than to start a debate. May I point you to the Discussion/Debate subforum. Who knows who has been reported? How can we know since they are not public? Hmmmmm. Should a thread be started: Sign in as you are reported...... ?

I have been reported as well. I was reported for a song that was meant only for humor cause of the trads going after Night but it was reported. Plus Senti has been reported many times.

I have not been reported for some time. Then again, I haven't reported much either.

Just discuss the doctrine and leave out the jabs. And if you do get pointed provide quotes as evidence so it is not an unsubstantiated claim.

Probably now Night is a focus of attention due to ongoing hostilities as much as what he says. It has to end somewhere. And the promise to report two for every one is probably not going to be the place.

I was reported twice this week for my posts on racism. People get defensive when you expose their sub-conscious racist behaviour (probably get reported again for this response)

'I ain't racist but many black people are selfish and using the system'


Now tell me if you heard this in your local Adventist church spoken by your white brethern who say they are all going to heaven and singing the hymn 'In Christ there is no East or West' what would you think?

I understand that the Trad forum is only for Trads to post yet we allow them to come in here and post. I'll be the first to admit that was a BIG mistake on our part.
Some of them are abusing our generosity.

I understand what you are saying. I'm not sure exactly how the "guidelines" are going to be enforced. Before they were actually rules but now they are guidelines - who knows.

As long as I have been here the progressive forum has been open to everyone.

Honestly, I don't even know why this is an issue. Can't people just stay in their own forums and be content with that? Maybe they should make it part of the system that people who give so many bogus reports in said amount of time suffer some sort of repercussions. It would at least discourage these "report-happy" people.

You would get an automatic PM sent by the system if one of your posts were reported.

The forum-specific guidelines can't be enforced with warnings and infractions like the sitewide rules, but posts can be deleted or edited or threads can be moved.

I have no problems with Trads coming in here and posting thier views. This is an open forum where we welcome any input.

However, those who come in here and report things that offend them need to just stay out, as they are offering nothing productive to this place except nonsense. What in the world did they expect they would read here? Lol. Come on!

The same goes for those who come in here and bait the bulls and when they get the horns they go crying to the mods. Ditto for those who report and complain about how we are 'attacking' EGW and the church.

This is not the main forum. Adapt and deal with it or just stay out.

It's really that simple.
