Press On In Patience

You've been walking by faith. You've been believing God to meet your need. But, what do you do when results seem slow in coming and you are tempted to give up?

Be patient!

There is not much said about patience these days. But when it comes to recieving from God, it is just as important as faith. It will make the difference between success and failure for you.

Patience undergirds and sustains faith until the result is manifested. After you have meditated on the promises of God and have them in your spirit, patience will encourage you to hold steady. Patience is power. It has the courage to refuse the lie of Satan that says the Word is not working for you. It knows that God's Word has never failed. Patience will not draw back in fear but will press forward in faith until you have the answer.

When the results of your faith seem slow in coming, don't give up! Continue to put the Word first, with patience, and you will surely recieve the promise of God!

Thanks again fieldmouse. This is one that speaks loud and clear. When I'm sure I have had enough and I want out of the refiner's pot and God saids I'm not through yet. Accepting not my will but your will and knowing he is growing some more patience and endurance.

There's much to be said for waiting on the Lord and what comes about when we do can be truly awesome!

I'm impatient by nature....when I want something, and I know I can have it eventually, I don't always understand why God makes me wait. Sometimes, I just don't see what He sees (the part of me that isn't ready, the circumstances that He's still working on, ect.). God is being very good about helping me to over come that shortcoming!

Thanks Fieldmouse3! My girlfriend complains about me being impatient, so this is a good devotion to read. I like the part that says, "God's Word has never failed." Wohoo! I guess I can think about that when I get impatient. God knows what he is doing, just be patient...
