I don't fear gays, just like I don't fear anyone except for God. I rebuke gays, I rebuke liars, I rebuke atheists and false prophets and blasphemers. The law has specifically outlined what is sin and what is not sin.

For instance, all who covet are condemned, just like all who murder are condemned, just like all who lie or steal are condemned.

Gee, has anyone thought about:::::::::::::::; that's why Christ had to die? He died for each sin, and paid them all in full.

Don't get tunnelvision on the gay issue. There's covetousness, murder, lying, hetero fornication, and many other flaws, like pride, which need to be addressed also. BUT primarily you should be shewing forth the GOOD NEWS part of the gospel, that is, the forgiveness. Failure to do so makes many so-called christians no better than pharisees.

No, it is not a characteristic, and that is a lie you are pushing. It is a chosen vice, a sin like every other, except that as so-called Christians, you refuse to repent, which negates your standing with the Holy God. He says so.

The main reason people are afraid is because of this ridiculous "Oh they hit on me!" sentiment. Straight people hit on people too but you're completely okay with that right? Makes a lot of sense.

Many Christians do not agree with you about this. Christians are debating this question, which is part of why these sub-forums are here.

There are Christians who hate gay people, though they are in a tiny minority, fortunately. Reverend Fred Phelps and his church members explicitly hate gay people, and they declare that "God hates f$gs." That is the name of their website. Convicted bomber Eric Rudolph is another Christian who hates gay people, and he has bombed in the name of Jesus.

Most Christians, even those who are anti-gay, do not hate gay people, as far as I can see, and they reject those who do hate gay people. But it's important to recognize that there are some people who consider themselves Christians who do in fact hate gay people and who claim that God hates gay people.

Homophobia can be either fear or dislike of gay people or both. Just as Anglophobia does not usually refer to fear of the English, but dislike of them, homophobia usually refers to dislike of gay people.
