Something amazing!

Something truly amazing happened yesterday & I just have to share it! I was at a local prayer space just minding my own business & was told to write some things down! Meanwhile I heard someone praying in tongues in the background, but paid little attention to it. What I wrote down was amazing, but some bits came from left field & I didn't understand it all. So after reading through this a few times I asked the person who had been speaking in tongues if any of it meant anything to him. In a nutshell, yes it did! God had spoken directly to me and to this other person, it was phenomenal!

Here's the words... Firstly I had so much on my mind I bullet pointed it all to get it out of the way so I could focus on listening. Then this came.. Listen to me! I am sending a light onto you. Be a beacon. Purge your sins and be an example. Lead through me. Shine a light. Watch your tongue. Tune that piano! I am walking with you. Give thanks and praise always. Write this down? Stay close to me, don't let yourself drift away, draw closer, walk my ways, be with me. Bless you with wisdom and judgement and be strong always. Don't let others try to make you vindictive. Find ways to draw strength from me through other Christians, they are revealing themselves to you I am sending them to you to fortify you. Fortify them - pray especially for Xxxx and Xxxx. Jesus Lord Almighty praise be to you! Let our bells be heard! There's a man on a bridge. Overcome Satan, do not let him divert you from your purpose or from me. Keep praying. Dry walls! Don't let them crumble, water them with the water of life to strengthen them. Bridges over rivers! Encounter! Support Xxxxc, pray for him, and the other Xxxx, challenges he faces now. Give him wisdom to lead as a Christian! He IS a Christian! Walls can support if they are strong at the foot!

I have always been very sceptical about tongues, still on a bit of a learning curve.

I suggest you continue to pay little attention to it.
It does not sound like Gods voice at all.
It sounds very human sourced, like an experienced preacher.
Speaking in tongues in mentioned in scripture, but is never quoted.
Likely there is a reason for that.

I find it fascinating how so many reject the gift of tongues. Language is the essence of God. He spoke the universe into existence. Jesus is the Word made flesh. He diversified the common tongue into many languages at the tower of Babel. He gave the gift of tongues on the day of Pentecost. Why then do so many think it is a strange thing for God to do?

There are those who has the gift to speak in tongues. But it's only edifying when there is someone who can interprete what is spoken in tongues.

Oh thank you for that insight! That hadn't occured to me, I took it literally!

It is called the "confluence of scripture" by theologians to explain why the personality of each author of the Bible is stamped upon the document. The word "confluence" means where two streams of water come together, and is metaphoric for two lives coming together: God and the prophet. Luke being a doctor naturally sees the human side of Christ, for example. When a prophecy is uttered, God uses the words we know. So when Seraphin said "Walls can support if they are strong at the foot!" it means if there is a strong foundation. But foot is the word that Seraphin had in her immediate vocabulary. It is not imagination on my part. It is being able to follow a point by the context which few readers seem to know how to do.

Where I live we all think to see rivers are part of revival for our city! And we have a confluence of 2 rivers!

Have to admit I was sceptical... VERY! Until I started asking all these people what happened & it was amazing what their answers were. I have been sceptical for 31 years, from what I've experienced I cannot be any longer, but there's still a big BUT, & I think I will recognise what is not from God, taking His lead and guidance.

Kudos to you Seraphin. Our walk with God is by faith. Not just faith in what Jesus has done for us, but faith in our own ability to know his voice and communication. Jesus said his words are spirit and life (John 6:63). What does that mean? It means that when Jesus speak to us, there is a life to the words that is discernible. Proverbs tells us that the words of the Lord are pure (Prov. 30:5) which means that his words can be pregnant with much more meaning than the surface words. You know the voice of God. Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice (John 10:27). Don't let doubting Thomases persuade you. Trust your own ability to hear the Lord.
