Someone explain this to me.

Hi, Umaro,
I am a teacher. I might know all the information (bwa ha ha), but in order for my students to learn effectively, I do not spend the whole time spitting out the answers. Just here at CF.

I could do their homework so they could get it done quicker.

I could take their tests so they meet regional standards.

Just because God knows and sees what goes on throughout the universe, and has the power to control it all, doesn't mean He feels it is the best choice.

so if you knew a student would miss questions 1,2,6, and 9 on the next test regardless of whatever anyone in the world did, would they still have the freewill?

Sometimes I work with them on learning to find the answer for themselves. (Again, not here on CF, I just blurt it out.) I direct them to resources, prepare them learn in a self-directed manner beyond my class, remind them to do their homework, send them notes during the week, give them side information that might help them grasp the concepts better, but I don't tell them exactly what's going to be on the test.

Back to your analogy of God and omniscience, He knows that we like to discover things, explore, develop concepts, synthesize information into new information, create... these are good things.

I know that I'm avoiding your square-circle question, but I think I'm possibly on the same track. No?

A square by definition has four points. A circle can have an unmeasurable number of points, and you could possibly call them corners. I'm thinking vectors here... nodes.

This isn't a square, but we assign God the freedom to change laws
of nature, I suppose He could change English word definitions too.

:D

(Am I omniscient yet?)

Changing the meaning of the words isn't an answer, since the concept still remains exactly the same. It wouldn't matter if I called the circle an elephant, it still holds the same properties.

Yeh, cos they had the free will that made them miss those answers, and what she would know is the final result, but she wouldn't have made then do it. They made the choice. So if you were to read a hystory book, because you read it does that mean the people in it didn't make a choice just cos you know they did it? :p
