Some sewing help?

I sew some clothes for friends and for sale sometimes. I'm making some pants for a friend's son. He's on the autism spectrum and doesn't like any rubbing. They live in Minnesota, so the pants need to be warm. My plant is to make them so that when the pants are rolled up, you can see a contrasting fabric. Any advice? I don't even know what to google?

How did that turn out? I would guess you would want to use super-soft material like microfiber or fleece (but that might be too warm for summer).

Are you thinking of a lined type of trouser? They sell flannel lined blue jeans so perhaps you can use that for a point of reference. What type of bottom weight are you using for the actual trouser?
