I just came across this gem of a story.

That idiot that wrote that article needs to do some basic research to learn the difference between "semi-automatic" and "machine gun."

Also, the picture of the cartridge that they have on the website is most definitely not a 7.62x39 which is the ammunition that the AK-47 eats.

It's a 7.62x54R, and that cartridge was in use for sixty years before the AK-47 was even a concept in someone's mind.

If I had to guess, I'd say that round was manufactured in Albania as well.

Colonial Jaegers, civil war rifles and 20 mm Oerlikon cannons are "high caliber". AK-47 rounds are not.

Wow. Just wow. There's no such thing as semi-automatic, first off, and even if there was the AK-47 wouldn't fit the nebulous definition (unless I'm really off base about what they're calling semi-automatic recently).

That picture is not photoshopped. There is an actual round (7.62x54R) that looks like that, and it's about that length.

It just isn't fired by the AK-47.

Oh come on. Take a closer look. The edges aren't even clean on the round. I'm not saying the proportions are wrong, but the picture is clearly a cut-and-paste job.
