Well 250 is pretty steep and I've Heard just to get the thing to work like you want it to (like cell phone Camera PS3 ports and all that) you'll have to buy a but load of accessories.

Well if you want alot of songs or movies you will need a bigger memory card. You can get some with 256 mb for under 50. Which is quite a bit for songs.

Yeah I hear other accseories will be fairly costly.

Wow, that's kind of strange. I thought that Sony would release it the way they did here in Japan, with a choice between the value pack and just the base unit. As Lando_T said, the value pack comes with some useful stuff, but the only thing besides the base unit that is actually essential is the memory stick. (which is all that I bought)

However, I suppose that Sony is going after a slightly older target market than Nintendo, so the higher price on the PSP shouldn't be too much of a problem. At least in Japan, a lot of the games for the DS seem to be aimed at kids, whereas the PSP has more stuff that would appeal to an older audience....a whole whack of RPGs, Mahjong games, and even a train simulator.

The Only Problem is Older audiences arent very attracted to Handhelds they are more into consoled and Pc gaming so Sony is really gonna have to push the PSP onto the Market.
