some prayer requests

More prayer requests... sorry... I don't have any friends or family who aren't atheists so that's why I keep asking you guys

My boyfriend of 3 years is trying to come here, but it's really hard at the moment and we're relying on certain things for the money. We don't know if these things are going to follow through. I ask people to PLEASE pray that this waiting game will stop and for God to provide us with what we need. We're just helpless right now and all we can do is pray and it's not fun. This is also just the FIRST thing we need to worry about financially. We have so much against us and trying to be together is seeming impossible right now. If anyone in Indiana needs a moped, buy my boyfriend's...haha

Also, I'm trying to find somewhere I can volunteer, maybe helping disabled children or something like that. Please pray that God will guide me in this and show me where I can help out.

My friend Emma also asks if she can have prayers to find a job. I ask you to please help her find the RIGHT job, not just any job... something that will even help her spiritually. Her typical day doesn't include very much, so her job will be the most she does with her time, so I hope it can be something that's beneficial financially AND spiritually/emotionally/mentally/socially etc.

Please also pray for Emma's boyfriend Luke to get off drugs, and for him to grow in all other positive areas of his life

Dear Lord in Heaven,

I pray for Observer and her boyfriend to be able to be closer to each other. Please help them financially so that they can do this. I pray the moped would sell. I also ask for Observer for a special volunteer work for her in ministering in some special way.

I pray for Emma for a job for her, a place of joy that brings her great rewards for working there, and I pray for Luke to be free of drugs and to grow in all areas of his life.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen

You see all these needs. Please open the doors for her & her boyfriend to know financially what to do.

& she is looking for volunteer work so we pray that she will find a position to help were she is needed the most. & that Emma will find the work that she enjoys & there will be other Christians there that can help her grow.

& Father please grant extra mercy & strength to her friend Luke that he'll be able to resisit the temptation of drugs. He will be healed within his heart & mind & come to know You better.

In addition, as for helping disabled children, you could call around to churches and see if they have hospital or rehab visitation that could include children.

Lord protect Emma from the destructive forces of her boyfriend's habits. Shield her property and her resources, the value of her time, and her heart. Offer her supportive friends through a job.

Bring things to mind for Observer--you know that she trusts You in many subtle ways. Bring to mind where she can be of service, where she can build her finances.

Have you ever thought about teaching a continuing education class? I don't know why that popped into my mind, but it's a way of serving others casually while bringing in some extra money. The school districts usually send out flyers with a coordinator's phone number.

There's usually a need for mentors with literacy programs too...helping adults read English.

A bigger commitment-- most school districts hire tutors who will drive to the homes of kids who are suspended or on maternity leave from school. It's sometimes challenging in the same ways one might imagine, going to strangers' homes...but there's a place you could serve.

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day and this opportunity to come before you. I thank you for this dear sister of mine. I cannot imagine the pain she is going through. I ask, that if it be Your will, that you will bring her and her boyfriend together. I also ask for an opportunity for her to volunteer in this area that she feels so passionate about. I know you have given her this love, help her to be able to use it.

I also lift up her friend Emma to you. She needs a good job, Lord, one that will lift her up spiritually. Please help her to find a place that she can fit and enjoy You. Also for her boyfriend, Lord. I ask that You will free him from this addiction to drugs. Give him the strength and will to break free from this habit, and bring up a more positive lifestyle in him.

Observer, you say you have no one in your family who is Christian and so you come here. This is no substitute for real life interactions. Even if you're not Christian, you feel a need for prayer, so get yourself to a church! Whatever you feel most comfortable with. Whether it Roman Catholic traditian and solemnity or Souther Baptist pure joy to be in God's presence (I'd love to attend a southern Baptists service one day!) or something in between. You don't have to make the decision to be a Christian to meet some Christians. And who knows where it will lead? You seem to need the comfort that Christians can give, seek out a Christian community near you. They'll welcome you without judgement.
