i got an instant message from a friend i know cousin and he (his name is Damon) asked me what kind of music i listend to when i told him contemporary christian he said cool i listen to devil worshipping music i was taken aback by this because he sounded proud then he asked me are you dead (he was referring to my display pic which said my mood today is dead because i have been really busy and exasuted) and joking with him i said yes then in a serious reply damon said how are you talking to me if you are and then seeing an oppurtunity to share gods love with him i said because jesus loves me and he asked if jesus loves him and i said yes then he threw me off guard again and said good because i thought i was going to hell and i said well if you dont love him back then you will then he asked well i do love him and i asked him if he had been saved and he said WHAT DOES IT MATTER TO YOU... and i said well im a christian and i believe in loving everyone equaly and he said well then why do you care and i said because i love you and he acted as if i was being gay and he said you dont even know me and i said well you see in the bible it says that we should love everyone as we love our self so i love you and i asked him again if he had been saved and he again said well i read the bible everynight before i go to bed so i figured then that it was time for me to throw it all at him so i said damon its more then reading the bible you have to believe in jesus christ and his father you have to allow him to help you you have to follow the bible and live a christian life to get into heaven and he said i have and i got really fierce with him when i said have you damon honestly have you sat infront of your television and cried because of the iraqi's over seas who are dieing everyday that dont know jesus have you kneeled down and prayed to god so hard that you felt as if you wouldnt be able to get back up have you asked the lord for forgiveness of your sins have you damon have you have you looked at yourself in the mirror and wonder what would happen if jesus came back tomorrow and would he take you? but most important have you asked jesus to come live in your heart to forever hold the holy spirit in yourself and have you thinked god for sending his only son to die for you to offer you a place in heaven and when judgement day comes will you have your name in the book of life now i dont know if i upset him or if he actually felt emotional or just wanted me to leave him alone but he told me "I HAVE NOW SHUT THE UP" and he left just then and i only ask you to pray for damon pray for him and his whole family pray that him and all the others in the world will get to hear about jesus "Dear God, I come to you... in an emotional time. I ask you for guidence everyday to help me to bring a person to you lord. I ask you that you will watch over Damon Lord. Just send your love to him and his whole family. Lord I tried and I recieved guidence from you. I just pray that he will listen when spoken to Lord. I know hes not a christian lord and I never met this guy in real life. But Lord i pray to you that you may allow him and ALL the other people in the world to hear your wonderfull voice. To notice your wonderfull grace...and creations. Lord i know you cant have a mony without the test. But Lord when Damon finds you I want to be there to help him... I want you to let him listen to not only me but to all who whitness to him... Lord i pray this in your name and for you and me Lord please help him and his family. Amen"

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
