Regardless of the many Christians who still do not accept that air pollution
has radically changed the regularity of weather, the insurance companies
work on STATISTICS, not personal opinions.

And these statistics mean that insurance companies, (and banks), are
pulling out of many coastal areas that are being hit by increasingly
frequent wild fluctuations of weather. That includes wild fires, and
worse flooding than residents have ever seen before.

Home designs that will float, and highly fire-resistant homes, may be the
only type of home that will be insurable in many coastal areas of the
United States.

There is a whole community in FL of hurricane proof homes.

They weathered Milton very well.

Many years ago an engineering friend of mine told me that it was very possible to make disaster proof homes. The issue was making them affordable and pretty enough that people would buy them.

Newer construction of homes around Florida coasts is being built up on stilts . But it might not be enough in the future if some of the predictions prove to be too conservative.
