I'm so disappointed, I was keen to debate it with you.I would love to debate this with you but the section is about homosexuality. I acknowledge that the key argument about homosexuality here hniges on whether one believes the Bible or not, but thats already been established.
What's odd is some of the posters claim the Bible they hold in their hand is inerrant. They then deduce that there could not have been translation errors. Now they are silent.Lets see, we are told in the Bible that 1 day is like a thousand to the Lord, so saying today could have still been considered today all the way up to a thousand days by our counting. Jesus was only on earth, was it 40 days? So that is clearly in that thousand range.

You didn't read the link, did you? Never mind the comma in the wrong place actually changed the entire message of that piece of scripture. You don't care though because it doesn't effect you.I'm gonna be frank again. This is borderline STUPID. Somebody is going to hinge their eternal soul on a comma splice?
So you agree the Bible we have now is not inerrant? What am I silent about?
Isn't posting in response to your post the opposite of being silent?
If you aren't referring to me then why used my response to make this claim?
It has been proven that not all translations are good translations, and that is why we should do research to get the type of Bible that was taken from the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts.
Just because it says Holy Bible on the front of it doesn't mean that it is correct or inspired by God. I really thought most people understood that.
When my son was first starting his walk with the Lord I got him a NIV, because I thought it would be easier for him to learn and understand. I checked out the important scriptures about salvation and the Christians walk with the Lord, and found them to be exceptable. I was filled with such joy when after church one day he was comparing the NIV with the NKJV and in finding that some important things mentioned in some scriptures weren't even in the NIV he said he wanted to switch to the NKJV.
He told me he was going to give his NIV to a friend, because he did believe it was helpful in the start of a persons seeking of the Lord and the early walk they can have with the Lord. He said though that as a person grows in the Lord they will need a version with more meat and less milk in it.
My heart warmed so as right before my eyes I saw how my son was growing in the wisdom and understandings of the Lord.

I really think your just trying to say that you dont want to have to follow the Bible, for everything that it says. You want to pick and choose the verses that sound good and easy to follow and rule out the others as fallacy. I always find it humorous when christians say they dont believe all of the bible... they sure believe all the parts about Jesus being their savior though. Never understood how people thought God could save them but not do the miracles of the OT or preserve a compilation of writings....
The day I dont believe a part of the Bible is the day I dont believe any of it, and that day aint coming any time soon.
Well, if you read the link, you'd realise it wasn't only about commasI don't care because I know the foolishness of a hardened heart when I see it.
You're talking about COMMAS for goodness sake.
If there has ever been any doubt in anybody's mind as to why salvation is the work of God and God alone, this type of childish nit picking to make sin not sin is why.
Straight STUPID!!!
What? it also says you can't have sex with a woman having a period, and you should be put to death if you do.I personally love the way that translation errors are brought up constantly... as if there has not been a million people studying the translations now... they might can argue 1 Cor 6:9 because the whole sentence is based on the one word, but Lev 18:22 spells it out nice and clear for those that want to see it

Well, if you read the link, you'd realise it wasn't only about commasbut I just illustrated how a misplaced comma completely changed the meaning of a part of scripture. Now what would happen with a couple of misplaced words?
