I explained exactly how you can, and no one has found any holes in the theory thus far or yet, etc...A literal interpretation of Genesis clearly and obviously contradicts science; you can't have it both ways.
Knowing God is the better deal, etc..."Just so much more" than being saved? "Just so much more" than going to heaven?
Christ promised salvation to those who believed in Him -- are you offering a better deal?
Knowing God is the better deal...I liked Neogaia's deal better: You can get into heaven on faith in Christ, but belief in a literal Genesis is only required if you want first class accomodations
You want His number? You'll have to ask him yourself; I don't have his email.
So those who get to heaven having believed in a literal Genesis will get to know God there better than those who hadn't?Knowing God is the better deal...
And it's not about classes or being above or beyond or below others either, for the benefits of knowing God go way beyond that or those things, etc...
To the point where those things become absolutely meaningless or pale in comparison, etc...
God Bless!
Knowing the Truth, in all it's parts and/or aspects, gets you closer to knowing God better, etc.So those who get to heaven having believed in a literal Genesis will get to know God there better than those who hadn't?
mockers have always enjoyed their moment in the sun here... thank goodness God revealed the after death experience here
Luke 16:22 (KJV)
[22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
[23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
[24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
[25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
[26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
[27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
[28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
[29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
I noticed that he was not mocking there!
So those who get to heaven having believed in a literal Genesis will get to know God there better than those who hadn't?
Knowing God is the better deal, etc...
God Bless!
You want His number?
It's Jeremiah 333
And yet you responded to me.
Yeah, that's how conversations work.
And because I have free will, I choose a third option: correct it.
They were infallible?
Perhaps not Kindergarten, but certainly they were being schooled -- among Jesus' many titles by his apostles was "Rabbi," a title which means, among other things, "scholar" or "teacher" (of Jewish Law).
As a teacher myself, I use fiction, myth, and legend all the time to get my lessons across -- do I therefore believe them to be true facts?
It should also be noted that which Jesus was the teacher, his students weren't always what we would call "Honor Roll" candidates -- especially in the opening chapters of John's Gospel; he keeps trying to make points which just keep sailing over their heads... and always for the same reason.
And if the "Good News" has anything to do with literalism, I'll take the unpleasant truth instead.
It is always better to already have known God the best you can in this life, and for your time here in this life, and before you get to the next life the best you already can already, etc...Better than heaven? If you want me to take you seriously, make me an offer...
They differed in levels of knowledge also, something else Jesus also discovered also, etc...Ok, you guys want something that will really help you and get you a lot closer to knowing God, right...?
Well, this is probably one of the most major keys I found that got me a lot closer to knowing Him, or perhaps more appropriately "Them", etc, since God is a Trinity, etc, ok...
Jesus had a revelation that there was a higher God than God in and of the OT, and by getting to know Him or that One, or by spending a lot of time pondering Him or that One, was able to show Him or that One to us in Himself, etc, and God in and of the OT He knew as God the Spirit or the Holy Spirit, etc, and together They are, or did form, and/or did make up, the Trinity, etc...
Or at least Jesus reasoned this or reasoned so in His mind, etc...
And by this, and by Him knowing about Him being spoken of as having a prophecy over Him and His life already as being the spoken of and promised Messiah in His life, had a revelation about Himself also, as being there in the beginning, and being a part of that Trinity as God the Son, or the God-Man in being the promised Messiah or God the Son, etc, and He set out to be it and/or fulfill it, etc...
Ask me more about this if you wish...
God Bless!
Jesus had two Fathers also, something He also knew about or had a revelation of, etc, God the Spirit was His Father, for He was physically born of that One, but so was the Heavenly Father also, who is the true Father of us all, and Jesus knew this, or came to know this, etc...They differed in levels of knowledge also, something else Jesus also discovered also, etc...
And only God the Father was only always "all-knowing", or absolutely always knew all from the very beginning always, etc...
And Jesus had a lot of revelations because of this and all of this, etc, "a lot or revelations because of this", etc, for He came to know "Them" because of this, etc, including how They were the same, and also how They were different, and also His own place in those things and/or that arrangement, and how He was there in the beginning in that arrangement, etc...
Ask me more about this if you wish...
Oh, and from the Father's perspective, there is technically no such thing as choice either, something else He (Jesus) also discovered and/or had a revelation about also, etc...
Ask me more if you wish...
God Bless!
You asked me first. If you would rather be ignored when you ask something I can do that too.
The unpleasant truth is that God is creator, that he will destroy this present world by fire and recreate it for those who are with him, those who are against him their place is the second death in the lake of fire.
You are an agnostic, as such your label means: "a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God."
You have nothing to teach or correct since by your own label you have stated you don't know anything about God.
As a Christian I am called to spread the good news and I will continue doing so.
It is always better to already have known God the best you can in this life, and for your time here in this life, and before you get to the next life the best you already can already, etc...
It will give you an "advantage", but of which kind exactly in the next life already, I cannot specifically say right now already, but there are some very clear advantages to it right now in this life now already, etc...
God Bless!
In this life, hope, joy, love, peace, happiness, fulfillment, satisfaction, contentment, etc, etc, etc, and the list goes on, etc...Since those advantages are very clear, what are they?
I get that a lot when I ask questions people would rather leave unanswered.
Actually, that's the belief -- which exists independently of whether or not I take the Bible literally... so what this has to do with the creationism/evolution debate is unclear.
That's "my label" -- prove me wrong, then.
Ah, you use my label to dismiss me. How expected.
But it doesn't take one who knows all to recognize one who knows far less than they pretend to.
So, continue -- have I said anything to stop you? Or is my very existence some sort of impediment to your calling?
In this life, hope, joy, love, peace, happiness, fulfillment, satisfaction, contentment, etc, etc, etc, and the list goes on, etc...
In the next life I cannot fully say right now, but you'll probably be ahead of some others or many others in a lot of ways, etc...
