That's nice.
Some are good candidates for the Humpty Dumpty School of Thought.
But when they come on to a Christian website, they'd better be prepared to set their nursery rhymes aside, else they'll myth a lot of stuff.
And no, it takes at least a/the saving knowledge to be saved, etc, but there is also just so much more than that also, etc...
In mything Biblical truths, yes.Not true, AV -- I've noticed that the nursery rhymes are more useful than ever on Christian websites.
In mything Biblical truths, yes.
Would you recognize it, if you saw it?Or getting truth from Biblical myths.
A literal interpretation of Genesis clearly and obviously contradicts science; you can't have it both ways.Look, I just came up with a "working theory" that doesn't contradict science, or a literal interpretation of Genesis, and you guys can "take it for whatever you will or however you like", etc, ok...?
Would you recognize it, if you saw it?
Is that why you're an agnostic? you recognize the truth better than I do when you see it?Better than you have.

Well one thing's for sure:There are far more (and more compelling) reasons for my agnosticism...
I find the debate rather foolish... as the Genesis account was given to Moses from God... God was the only One there and men have opinion but to doubt the account is to call God a liar.
We will each answer to God for our treatment of His Word
John 12:47 (KJV)
[47] And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
[48] He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Well one thing's for sure:
You're not letting the truth get in your way, are you?
I liked Neogaia's deal better: You can get into heaven on faith in Christ, but belief in a literal Genesis is only required if you want first class accomodationsHave it your way -- God must be a liar, then, because Genesis is not literally true.
And if I determine that God is a liar, then I have no reason to follow Him in any way, shape, or form.
If you choose to deal in absolutes and ultimatums, you should know what to expect.
That's nice -- except according to your own terms, people will have determined that God was lying before... so perhaps He's lying again?
And even if He's not lying, any "God" who will determine salvation or damnation based on the unconditional trust of words in a book is so far off the rails, morally speaking, that worshiping such a being would be atrocious.
If the price of admission into "Heaven" (and I question the existence of such a place under the proposed management) is to twist my intellect into knots to swear that black is white and up is down for no other reason than He demands it, then I will accept His blackball, roll up my sleeves, and turn The Other Place into my own heaven -- one that values truth over obedience.

Is it Jesus' way as well? The truth is my way... what's yours?

mockers have always enjoyed their moment in the sun here... thank goodness God revealed the after death experience hereHave it your way -- God must be a liar, then, because Genesis is not literally true.

Luke 16:22 (KJV)
[22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
[23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
[24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
[25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
[26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
[27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
[28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
[29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
I noticed that he was not mocking there!
