soap operas!

Anyone a fan? I've watched soaps since I was a kid. They are entertaining though sometimes shady. I'm not looking forward to next Friday. It's the end of All My Children. Anyone a fan of that one and sad about the end?

I watch Y&R, AMC, OLTL, and GH.

Used to watch As The World Turns, Guiding Light, Another World, Loving, and Port Charles.

Also. I like Ryan's Hope. But, they are taking it off of Soapnet. It was a soap based around a Catholic family. Quite interesting. There used to be a soap on TBN as well called Another Life. A Christian soap.

So, really. Is anyone a soap fan?

Yep! Grew up on them... mainly Days of Our Lives then I was into Passions since it was for the younger group, but then it got cancelled! But I'm happy that a few of my favorite actors/actresses from Passions got jobs on either other Soaps or TV shows!

How is DAYS? I don't watch it but that's what I'm switching to when AMC is off. Y&R comes on at 9am in my area and DAYS is my only option at 1PM.

I've been watching All My Children for a few years now, along with One Life to Live. Then our station didn't air OLTL for a while so I stopped watching it, even when they brought it back. Today is the last day of AMC and I've decided to stop watching all soaps after this. I won't be able to watch it online as I don't have the connections AND I don't think it'll even be nearly the same once it does start up again in January. So yeah, after today, no more soaps for me!

Actually, I am watching Dark Shadows on Netflix instant watch. So different than my childhood memories. It's been good to get an adult, Christian, eye's view of something that influenced me from an early age..

Bumping this to still say I watch soaps. AMC's online version is great but OLTL's in lackluster. I cannot stand the new writer and EP of GH. The only good thing they've done is brought back my favorite character and his other half.

Personally. I find it a little stale at times. But, I do like that Dr. Collins is back. He was always my fave!

I myself am a fan of soaps. ABC screwed up royally by canceling AMC and OLTL. At least OWN airs them and we can see them online.

Yeah, ABC really messed up there. I don't like the new OLTL though. I thought it started getting better at the end of it's first season. But, still wasn't much like old OLTL. New AMC is great though! I loved Cass's storyline from beginning to end. It was so depressing and dramatic.

I like that the writers at least acknowledge the rich history of GH by bringing characters from the past....Some people complain about the whole focus being on newbies but I enjoy the show anyways...
