Soap Operas

Do y'all watch soap operas? I watch Days of Our Lives.

I watch All My Children and have been since it came on 34 years ago.

I used to love AMC back in the 70's. I only started watching Days in the late 90's.

I don't have the time to watch soapies. Not that I'd want to anyway, soapies don't do much for me. They used to when I was younger.

I watch very little television, but I make it a point not to watch soaps.

Yes, I know soap operas are something I probably shouldn't be watching. I used to work my schedule around when my soap opera came on which is 1:00. But at least I got away from that. Now that we have SoapNet I can watch it at 8:00 p.m. instead but now I only watch it a couple of days/nights a week. So I really don't feel like I am addicted to it like I was.

I'm justifying I guess.

I'm not ashamed to admit I watch a soap opera. I'm trying to quit though.

Used to watch them. But they have the same old story line. I found I can find more fun stuff to do and more edifying.

I just read that the soap operas are targeting the 18-49 year olds. What about the over 50 crowd?

I used to watch soap operas when I came home from high school (way back when)...but they haven't interested me since. In fact, I watch very little TV. Once in a while, I'll watch PBS, or The History Channel. I really like the classic movies (black & white) with actual plots to them. So that is about all that interests me, even though my family tries to get me involved in the newer movies.
