Anyone watching this? I watched last season and really enjoyed the dancing. So far it's been pretty good. My only criticism would be that judge Mary Murphy drives me nuts with her over-the-top commentary and screaming. Also, Cat Deeley the Brit hostess just hasn't grown on me yet. I find her somewhat ill-suited for an American dancing contest. Too bad they can't get Ryan Secrest to do this one as well.:)

I've been watching.

I was gonna start a thread on the show, but I figured that too many people on this site would be too sensitive about the show due to some of the dance routines.

I think it's been good so far. It's clear that some people got a lot more "face time" during the first few episodes. I barely recognized a lot of the finalists.

this is the only reality show i've ever had interest in and hope to catch most of the current season.

i don't like how they make fun of folks, as one ex-contestant stated, all they need to say is 'no'. i guess that doesn't make for good TV though (which is why i won't watch other reality tv shows)

I know what you mean. The hip-hop routines are frankly nasty. But I really enjoy the ballroom, disco and jazz numbers. I also didn't recognize many of the contestants and I think that's because during the audition phase, they only emphasize the best and worst of those trying out. So far, I'm pretty impressed with the quality of contestants and their ability to catch on to the new dance styles. I can't imagine how hard that would be! I just learned basic salsa and I can tell you how challenging partner dancing can be.

I dont watch the show that much but I do enjoy watching (when I do see it) the ballroom dancing routines and yes, the salsa numbers are spicy and fun to watch.

We've been watching it. Cat and Mary annoy me to no end, and I think it's kind of ridiculous that Dan/Mary/Nigel are pretty much just Randy/Paula/Simon regurgitated, but the personalities work ok for American Idol.

I really don't like the fact that half the dancers are contemporary, which is such an unstructured style it makes it really hard to try and form an opinion.

So far they've done a great job with the mix of styles, and the wardrobe has been simply amazing. Mrs. Burger and I both disagreed with who ended up going home, but it's way too early to get your nose out of joint about it.

Show is really starting to heat up. I still am not crazy about Cat, the hostess. I have a couple of favorites but it's much too early to see who the real front runners are.

As an aside, both Kellie Pickler and Mandisa (from American Idol) were in the audience last night! I guess they have lots of free time!

I actually started watching this show again. As you said Veritas, it has heated up it seems. I really like Danyelle (I believe that's the spelling), Allison, and Ivan. I like a couple others too.

However, it is often hard to watch this show b/c Mary also drives me insane. Her scream and voice pierces through my ears and grates on my nerves. Cat is ok, but I think there are better hosts than her out there.

First off, I am not hooked on it like I was on American Idol.

Having said that, I have picked my favorites.

My daughter was a competetive dancer, so we love this show. (We actually know 2 of the dancers on the show.)

I was so moved by Travis and Heidi's contemporary dance last night I teared up. Touching hands through the bench.... oh mannn. It was one of the most amazing routines I have ever seen in my life.

I loved that dance. I also loved the dance that Ivan and Allison did a couple of wks ago.
How many dances used The Black-Eyed Peas last time, I mean good grief!
