The day has dawned, the sun is shining,
And on God’s Word I’ve now been dining –
An open letter to His people,
To those who are, in truth, His pupils.
The Word of God tells us a story.
His words to us, they’re for His glory.
They teach us how we’re to live for Christ,
How for our sins Jesus paid the price.
They tell us how Jesus became man,
He lived on earth all within God’s plan,
He healed the sick and He raised the dead,
Now by His grace we can now be led.
He took our sins on Him, on that tree,
So from our sins we could now be free,
Free from our slavery to self and sin
So by His grace we’d live now for Him.
By faith in Him, we now die to sin,
And in His power we obey Him.
We live for Jesus throughout each day,
We kneel to God and we bow and pray.
We follow Him now where’re He leads,
And on His Word we now daily feed,
And He meets us in all of our needs,
So we live for Him in all our deeds.
