So the neighbor thinks I'm crazy

Lol, when I take my dogs outside, and especially at night with the stars out, I like to talk to God. I just talk, about life, people, things, etc. But the thing is, I do this out loud.

Usually no one is outside so it's fine. But I was outside doing it just now, and afterwards I noticed the neighbor sitting in his tree bench just looking at me. Lol the guy probably thinks I'm totally crazy now.

Anything like this happen to other people? This is meant to be a fun thread, so don't worry about taking it too seriously or anything.

Yeah. When people hear these whispers about your deepest fears and problems, they will think you are nuts. It happened to me, and I learned to keep my mouth shut.

na dude its totally cool, its better than arguing with yourself, I used to do that all the time. I think if your able to voice your conversations out loud with God that He has blessed you with a strong relationship with Him. I like to talk to God just the same way just not out loud, although I'm sure it looks pretty weird when I start crying then stifling a laugh and then seemingly being void of all emotion or something similar, since generally i am never aware of my facial experssions. It happens all the time. People think I'm unstable or something

Well the thing is I don't think he knew I was talking to God. I think he thought I was just crazy and talking to myself or something. I mean I just pace back and forth, look up in the sky, etc. etc. and just talk to Him. I imagine I'd look pretty crazy.

When I went running in the mornings this summer I would talk to God as I watched the pretty sunrise I didn't do it out loud though I suggest waving to your neighboor next time you walk by - it might freak him out, or maybe he'll wave back.

lol, i often speak to myself too. Or i think loud in the street... i don't care what people think

Sometimes, also, i think about God and talk with him and i just stare, i don't know what people think, but at times i've noticed they looked at me strangely lol.

I am a songwriter- and all the sudden-something will pop in my head. So I start singing it, I could sing it anywhere- in the Supermarket, Going out to my car, in Wal-Mart--it's funny it's just kind of random.

Yeah, I talk to myself a lot too... it's a bad habit I have. I do it especially in stores and stuff like that.

I think talking aloud often focuses your prayers, when your talking to God I find it sometimes helpful to vent or to just talk aloud so that I stay focused. So no worries, I usually make an effort to do it in private or when nobody is around, but I guess you get caught every so often, lol I don't think I've been specifically caught, but then maybe I have and people just keep their opinions about my sanity secret lol who knows, no biggie I'm sure. Lots of people "talk to themselves"

I do that too. Whenever I take my puppy outside, I look up at the sky..and just talk. Ha, I have brand new neighbors... I think they'll want to move soon.

I do that too, but mostly just in the car. I'll turn the radio off or down really low and just have a conversation (mostly just me talking) with God all the way home. I usually do it after Church or when I'm driving home alone and am fearful of driving. It keeps my mind off worrying about something terrible happening on my way home. I've gotten many weird looks from people, especially when on the interstate and they are passing me.

I talk to myself in public sometimes too. Like today at Walmart, it was a mad house and I just wanted to hurry up and get out of there. I said many things that I was thinking out loud. Like "this cart is a piece of ****, it won't even turn" or "I should come back at 1 a.m. and finish my shopping." Stuff like that...

Which reminds me.....I think I will take a little stroll to Walmart around midnight or so when the crowds are down.

At uni a couple of years ago me and some friends used to walk/skip/dance down the street after church and/or gospel choir rehearsals.... quite a few lights turned on as we passed houses - ooh that was fun.

My friend used to wear a scarf around her mouth during the winter cus she knew she'd end up talking/praying aloud on her way to the library etc. I've used her technique - works every time!

Its okay to sit in a place of solace to sit and meditate. I use to love going on the mountain top and overlooking Jamaica and meditating and having my devotions when I was in Jamaica.

Yes I talk to myself ALL the time all my friends says who are you talking to I'm like o just myself and they just say o ok just making sure ur not talking to me....it pretty funny...
