The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dear Jesus,You know Your Child, Teenuh. You know of her confusion and depression. Thank You for sending GiddyJenn at the right moment. I pray that You would reach down with Your loving arms and hold Teenuh tight. Lord bring Teenuh closer to You through this time.

Ah! my msn is flipping off on me. i'll tell you what's up here. welllllllll i've been skipping school because i've been very depressed at school.i feel all these other students are smarter than me & i don't stand a chance.... but then again, everytime i go, i just never understand anything. now i have a job & plus school is just killing me. and i feel like im so lost behind in school. i don't know anything anymore. i'm so sad right now, i can't help but to keep crying. i want to please my parents, but how can i? i suck at school.......

Wow this is so amazing God's hands for sure. I went through the exact same thing in 10th grade. I would fake being sick to not go I was so miserable, the only thing I like about school was cheerleading. I understand your pain. I sat down with my parents and put my feelings on the table how I was almost affraid to go to school, the knot I would get in my stomache! After talking and praying my parents agreed to give homeschooling a try. I did it for a while but back then they didn't have the programs they do now so I ended up getting my GED
