Do you mean that God when He created people, did not know that he would have to wipe them out in a Flood?
when GOD created the first man, HE already knew the first man would disobey....

And GOD who already foreknew mankind´s fall...more importantly HE foreknew that HE would send the ONLY WAY back for mankind....from the beginning.

The flood also served to prophecy GODś foreknown plan....for 8 is not just an aside, and the flood was not just water...

both are symbolic to the plan for salvation and both are very important TRUTHS of the plan.

And the ark as well is also a shadow prophecying GOD´S plan for salvation which was from the beginning...

Everything in GODŚ WORD, in shadows and representations and pictures were to point us to CHRIST...

GOD knows our limited humanity...that we ever and always need visible signs and representations to understand HIS invisible and hidden spiritual truths. And throughout HIS WORD, HE graciously provided them...

You sir, do not live in a cocoon....the world is not stagnant...it changes...and it is affected by change and effects change in all living things.

Man also is not stagnant...he is affected and he too effects a change in not only the environment but in other living things as well,.

The perfect being, Adam, was in a perfect environment....if that had stayed the same, there would be no change...but, the plan again was from the beginning...and grace was seen even from the beginning...for GOD foreknowing our fall, still created man...because HE already foreknew the victory in, by and through HIS SON....

ximmix,

Have you ever read GOD´s command to Adam?
If you reread it, you will see, in that command, GOD already foreknew a day when ¨Adam/man¨ would disobey...

GOD didn´t just say do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil...

HE said in the day you eat of it...

In...the day....you eat of it.

Showing that GOD already knew there would be that day...

Do you mean that He already knew He would be wiping everyone out with a Flood before He created the first man?

HE already knew that there would be those who would listen to those who preach salvation and flee to a refuge which HE provided...and that there would be those who won´t.

HE did promise never to destroy the earth by a flood again, though...

The earth is reserved for something else...but not a flood by water....

Well, if God is all knowing He must have known of course, He knows everything. I just find it funny that Christians tend to ignore that fact when it's convenient.

Christians don´t ignore it...what is the issue for you that you can´t reconcile within yourself?

Are you angry with GOD in something that you feel HE has not done for mankind?

Just that Christians usually ignore the fact that according to the Bible God is all knowing.

Take the story of God testing Abraham for example. That story makes no sense if God already knew everything beforehand. If He already knew, why the test?

Oh it most certainly does.

Again, GOD knows our limited humanity (we need visible signs and symbols and representations to understand the hidden and invisible spiritual truths of GOD...and in this story, GOD prophecied through Abraham, that HIS CHOSEN SON would be the only acceptable offering before HIM..

Abraham may not have understood what he was called to do at that moment when GOD said, take your only son, *who was the promised son which would prolong Abraham´s seed, and sacrifice him...

But I tell you, Abraham most certainly knows now...and he, like all the other prophets understand that what they did not fully understand when they prophecied, was in service to those who, when the fullness of time would come, and the ONE prepared from the beginning, HIS SON, would come forth to do the will and work of THE FATHER, would look back and bring to mind and understand that all along GOD spoke of HIS SON.

For the very TESTIMONY of JESUS...IS....THE SPIRIT of PROPHECY...

Do you mean that it wasn't a test, but to teach Abraham a lesson? Hmm, that's not really how it is described in the Bible is it?

Abraham´s call to sacrifice his son, was simply a reenactment of THE PROMISED SON...

GOD´S PROMISED SON...
for the prolonged seed is not through Abraham..but through CHRIST...

Is there Scripture to support that thought?

please...I don´t believe you know what you are saying...it was to show mankind that the PROMISE was to come through HIS SON...

It was to show those who would read the WORD and understand the TESTIMONY that all along GOD pointed to HIS SON...

Abraham was a faithful servant, and if you want to remain steadfast in what you have already suggested in that GOD foreknows everything...then you should understand that GOD already foreknew that Abraham would be faithful.

But, of course you forget that GOD did reach a hand in and stopped Abraham from harming the child

What Abraham was called to do was in service to that generation who would benefit by CHRIST´S coming into the world, who would believe and who, by THE SPIRIT, would be led to all truth.

And the TRUTH is that the WORD of GOD is a TESTIMONY of JESUS

Is there Scripture to support that thought?
Certainly is...Galatians 3

As well as 1 Peter 1

Ye must be born again means through faith in GOD´S REDEMPTIVE WORK, one is born of CHRIST...and that the perishable seed of Adam, marked for death..through faith in CHRIST, is reborn of the IMPERISHABLE SEED of CHRIST and marked for life....

If you're arguing that the story is just a parable meant to teach people moral lessons I agree with you. If you're saying that God actually called Adam to kill his son (I didn't forget that there wasn't an actual murder btw), then God is either very cruel, or lacks empathy. And He knew the outcome already, so why put a man through that heartbreak?
