Hi there,

So look, this might not be news to you, but I have actually worked out that its quite possible to be humble and still believe in Evolution. You might be thinking "well, of course, anyone can be humble" but you see, I had never considered that it was actually the right thing to do. It's quite simple really, you just say "I am less evolved than everyone else" and true to Jesus word that the humble will be exalted, you realize that you are not going to fail to survive, just because you are not as advanced as the next guy. Great huh?

It gets better. You can see mutations as dormant, adaptations as Christ-like, and you can live for the principle "growth of the most cooperative" meaning the more you cooperate, the more likely it is that you will grow the most. It took me ages to crack the kernel of "Evolution" because I kept unconsciously seeing it as "the best thing that can happen to someone" when in fact its more like "the thing people inevitably say it is, regardless of what happens" meaning "the thing you can contradict if you know how to do it smartly". It just took ages to clue contradicting evolution with just being humble.

From here its just a matter of pointing out that there are a number of principles to choose from, when it comes to survival - like strength of the most protective, greed of the most paid, etc. - and that survival of the fittest actually has to compete with principles first, before competing with competition can even be said to begin. I guess its what you'd call a conquer and divide strategy, since the humbling yourself comes first.

Then there's the icing on the cake, the part of Evolution you actually want, where you say "God! Cause me to adapt for you" and live it out in the Christian way, according to the word He gives you in response to your cry.

I don't think I've left anything out, except perhaps "only species evolve" but that never made sense anyway, since species are made up of individuals. So there you go, Evolution made to point to Jesus! It was always going to happen, I'm just glad I finally worked it out in a way that makes sense to me (see, not even asking for you to critique it, really...) I knew there had to be a dynamic element to faith in Evolution and do you know what, the inspiration basically came from God: I asked Evolutionists what it meant to be hated for Evolution, knowing that we are hated for believing in Christ, from there it was just a matter of working out how I would want to be hated if I had no choice but to believe in Evolution.

So, I hope you found that interesting, anyway. Coming from monkeys is rubbish (yes, there is even an Evolutionary reason for that being rubbish), but everything else is basically Evolution onwards. Progress ho!

lol:thumbsup:

My dog is a cross breed of Poodle and King Charles.

So, I've tested "evolution" and it works just fine.

I really love the result. :)

Here's the thing: Biblical humility has very little to do with thinking that you're actively worse than everyone else in some way. Jesus was the picture of humility, but you'll notice that he has no problem telling a crowd in Nazareth that he's the messiah and God at the same time. Your idea of humility, if I'm interpreting your post correctly, is a really unhealthy way to think and live and certainly not something that God seems to want for His children.

Bible.org talks about it here: https://bible.org/seriespage/5-humility
Christianbiblereference.com discusses it here: Humility

Here's the thing: evolution has no end goal in mind. It is not progression as we think

From here its just a matter of pointing out that there are a number of principles to choose from, when it comes to survival - like strength of the most protective, greed of the most paid, etc. - and that survival of the fittest actually has to compete with principles first, before competing with competition can even be said to begin. I don't see why I'd hate you, but you seem... very mis-educated. I'm probably mis-educated on literally millions of things; I just happen to find evolution interesting.

May I suggest (re-?) reading Wikipedia's introduction to evolution? There's nothing humble or prideful about it; it just kind of is. It makes no real statements about individuals. It's about a group of a certain kind of animal slowly moving in the same direction around the same time due to natural pressures.

So, I hope you found that interesting, anyway. Coming from monkeys is rubbish (yes, there is even an Evolutionary reason for that being rubbish), but everything else is basically Evolution onwards. Progress ho!
You may already know this, but in case someone reading this thread doesn't: humans and monkeys have a common ancestor, and are pretty related, but we didn't 'come from monkeys' per se. UC Berkeley has a pretty interesting page on the topic of human emergence: The emergence of humans

Addendum: I definitely can't say that I've heard most of the ideas you mentioned in your post before, so they're at least nice to ponder.
