So how'd you get here?

How did you guys find this forum, and why did you decide to join?

Me, I was a member of another Christian community that was relatively small, so there was little activity there. I decided to join a 2nd forum where there was more talking going on I did a search on Google, and voila.

I've been a part of a different forum before, but they changed the format and I found the new one overwhelming. I'm also part of a chat community based off a different online Christian community. Basically, I was looking for more people in my age range who were predominantly Christian to befriend. I don't know that I've really done that here, but it leaves the door open. After much googling and research, I found this to be one of the most active Christian forums.

I found this forum through Google, and I decided to join it because I haven't been previously involved in a Christian-oriented forum and wanted to see what it would be like.

I just kind of stumbled onto this site.... probably googling. I thought it'd be cool to fellowship with some other christians since the ones near me are too busy with their own lives(not bad, just busy with their own thing) or simply don't behave Christ-like (they get drunk, sleep around, focus on partying all the time....bleh)

i'm a very slow paced person and i just don't get around to introducing myself that well. so here i am =p

Around 4 years ago, I googled the fella in my avatar and entered my first CF thread as a lurker.

Shortly after, I signed-up with my first account for the sole purpose of joining the crevo debate. I have good memories of my first experience there, but watching the forum become slowly hijacked by snark-filled anti-Creationists and seeing my name appear on fstdt.com regularly was too painful to handle, so I left for awhile. Came back with a sequel log-in, looking for something to do in the spare hours, and to expand my horizon, etc....I've only ever posted on one other site besides this one, and I joined there around the same time, so forumming is still a relatively new experience for me.

I think I was looking for some theolgoical feedback, and some good religious talks.

I found this site by searching for Christian forums in google. I wanted to join because I like reading other people's opinions to broaden my view of world and share my insights as well.

Why a Christian forum? ...because I'm Christian

See I'm totally OK with people who aren't believers joining a Christian forum, as long as they realize we're not here to argue with them and its not their job to try and change our beliefs. There's a few people on here who aren't Christians, but they're well mannered and they're not trying to cause trouble. I'm fine with them. What I'm NOT fine with is some other people here who are also not Christians, but they find it necessary to argue and be outrageously rude to many people here who are strong in their faith as Christians. It's pretty silly to join a CHRISTIAN FORUM, and try to make it a NON-Christian forum. If they don't like the way Christians talk, it'd be better for them to join a different forum that isn't Christian.

We respect them. Therefore, they should also respect us.

I don't remember how I found CF - probably by googling in search of a Christian forum. Anyway, I joined as a teenager, and for several years this site was a big part of my daily routine. Then adult life came and at some point I entirely forgot about this place... until a couple of days ago when I was posting on a Star Trek forum which I frequent, and someone there coincidentally posted a link that led me back here. I cruised in, and started thinking back to all the time I used to spend here, so I figured I'd wander in and see what is going on around here.

If the site is anything like it used to be, it is a great community of folks. These days it is sometimes hard to find people who really care about living moral lives, and striving to do what is right; and that is why CF is a good forum. I brings people together, predominantly, who share similar values.

During my time at university I was involved heavily in thinking and debating about inter-faith relations and principles. During my time of discernment I often felt heavy laden and wanted a place for further opinion and support in all honesty.

My activity has fluctuated but has peaked recently and I've discovered this site is a very useful tool in our Christian lives and I look forward to becoming more and more engaged in the community.

I had heard CF mentioned by a friend of mine but I hadn't joined. I looked around, noticed there were Jewish members. I was interested in seeing how they interacted with the Christians. Unfortunately the rules changed at exactly the same time I joined but I stayed. I've seen some interesting conversations.
