One thing I didn't understand was how can God know how it feels in a divorce? Well with the book and Divorce care video I did understand. That when you get married 2 become one. When you seperate and divorce they don't become 2 people again but rather 1/2 of 1 or torn apart. This made totally sense when I seen Jesus crying on the cross Saying God why have you forsaken me. That feeling w/o the father presence would be the best description of how divorce feels. It gives me a new view of hoe Jesus felt and also know He DOES know how my pain feels, which gives me comfort in that.

The first time I read the book of Malachi it really broke my heart. Its one book where you can really feel Gods pain in dealing with Israel.
I think God knows our pain in divorce very personally.

This week was a very interesting discussion in our class. We discussed finances. As you could see in my other thread about cutting costs, it was a lot of things. It was informative, depressing, and infuriating. The fact that my expenses have been cut so drastically (about 3/4 of what I used to make) anything that starts to hit below my belt ticks me off. Fortunately, God has been so very good to me, and helped provide the essentials. That is something that I have learned through these classes. Some things are great, some hurt, and some just make you mad. But all in all, these classes are great, and the relationships you develop with the others there are great.

My class this week was about the kids, and how they react and deal with divorce and separation. It was sad, really. Things you would never think about, or reactions they might have. It was also helpful, in ways to deal with the questions they might have, and how to deal with the mom, and how she acts, and what to say to them when they question her actions. My feelings are very raw on this one, seeing that my 5 are with her, but are rarely with her. It seems that they go home with her to visit, but live with grandma...and yet I am made to be the bum...just infuriates me. Anyhow, it was very informative, but sad. I never thought that one of the problems would be that the kids would be concewrned that not only did they loose me from their daily life, but that theywould fear loosing her...but she is just too stuborn to see it. I'm sorry, but the fact that she is so blind to all of this is very, very sad. There is something we have to do, be strong for the kids, even in small doses or time. They need someone to be stable, and show them that they are the 'rock,' the one that will always keep the waters calm, no matter what the 'crisis' is. the class just makes me worry even more aboout them, knowing that they might even hurt more, and face more problems...I guess that is what parents do, worry about their children...I still think it is a great class, BTW.

Hang in there 5KD. I believe that as long as you keep God in your life, you and the kids will come out of this in a positive way. The frustration is wondering just how long it will take to come out on the other side. There are days where we probably wonder 'where is God'. I'm sure He'd like to just fix everything immediately...but knows that we can only handle / belive so much.

Keeping you in my prayers,

MKD

MKD,

Thanks for the encouragement. I really appreciate it. I have been struggling lately with it all, wondering when it will all come out. I havge also been hit with another 'few' dollars for support, while she continues to spend and lie. The court stuff will begin in the next few days, and I am hoping and praying that the Lord will help me and my kids in this whole little mess that we find ourselves in. I have a peace, which is unexplainable, and makes no sense. I know that it is nothing but God's hand there. Thanks you all for your continued prayers.
