SO glad I found you!

Hi all! I am soooo glad to have found others who are going through what I am! I was dx with BP this past fall after much heartache. My husband and I spent a lot of time keeping my "problems" quite after being told Christians don't suffer with depression and mental illness. When we couldn't deal with it alone we sought help and found out I was BP. Needless to say, I feel so blessed to know that other christians have this too! I have come to understand that BP is like anything else medical. I didn't cause it to happen and I can't speak enought positive words to make it vanish.

Anyway...looking forward to chating with you all and hopefully receiving some help along the way! God bless ya'll

I am so glad you are here. I was DX this summer, I had a difficult time accepting it at first and found support and understand here where I could find it nowhere else. looking forward to chatting with you as well

I am new to this forum also and I too feel that there is little acceptance of mental illness in the church. It is very sad. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Christians are immune from illness - mental or physical. In fact, I believe it is says quite the contrary. I hope you can find the same relief that I have in my brief time as a member of these boards!!
