I love this new song by Staind. I'm not a big fan of the group but I love that song!!!! I wanted to get the cd until I checked on it and realized how horrible the language is in it.

That is a great song. As far as the languae go, it really doesnt bother me. To me, that is a person expressing their feelings at the time. As long as they do not use the Lord's name in vain, then i really do not have a problem. To me, there really is truly one curse word, and thats using our Lord's name in a negative manner, the others that most people like to consider curse words, to me, they are just words.-Bear

I'd agree with your opinion on curse words. I've just happened to been thinking about that lately.

As for Staind's "So Far Away", I like it.

Meh, it's not the best song on the album, though I like it. How About You? and Fray (my fave song at the moment, even though there's swearing..) are a tad better IMO

So Far Away is my favorite song right now, the emotion in the song just sums up the way I feel at this point in my life. And if you don't want the cd because of the language, get it at Wal-Mart or something, they do have censored versions.

Moving on...I dig that song...and it has to be one of the few Staind songs I like.

Honestly, Steph, i commend you for not buying the cd for the language. That's awesome that you watch what you fill your mind full of.
As for the few who dissed her for her obedience in the lord, Ephesians 4:29 talks about letting no unwholesome talk come out of your mouth except that wich is edifying to others. So in other words, cursing is wrong, because it isn't edifying. And the Word also says to be careful about what you fill your mind with. So stephanie, I agree with you.
