For Trump, 3 court losses in 90 minutes

In DC, Judge Loren AliKhan issued a preliminary injunction that indefinitely blocks the administration from freezing federal grants and loans.

Shortly before AliKhan issued her ruling, a separate jurist in the DC federal courthouse – Judge Amir Ali – ordered the Trump administration to pay foreign aid-related money owed to government contractors and nonprofit groups by Wednesday night, amid the legal fight over the freezing of USAID and State Department funds.

Meanwhile, across the country in Washington state, a federal judge in Seattle issued a preliminary injunction on Tuesday that halts Trump’s executive order suspending refugee admissions and funding.

Judge issues nationwide injuction blocking Trump funding freeze

A federal judge issued a nationwide injunction on Thursday blocking the Trump administration from freezing federal funding without going through Congress, offering a scathing critique of what he said was the White House's attempt to disrupt the separation of powers.

‘They do not intend to comply’: Trump admin ‘will not produce’ agency head for court-ordered testimony, plaintiffs say
The Trump administration is allegedly refusing to produce a high-ranking agency leader for testimony in connection with a lawsuit in which he’s accused of unlawfully firing thousands of federal government workers still in the probationary period of their employment.

Attorneys at the Justice Department’s Civil Division said they “will not produce” Charles Ezell, the acting director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), despite a federal judge in San Francisco issuing a court order requiring him to testify in person later this month, according to a Wednesday court filing from the plaintiffs in the case.

U.S. District Judge William Alsup responded swiftly, scheduling a mandatory status conference for Thursday afternoon to address the matter.

Nine judges (at least) and only one Trump appointee (no idea why the other 'at least' eight were not ID'd by appointment).
Data provided. I thank you for it.

But what is this pattern?

Trump only appointed so many judges. We would expect Trump judges to be in a minority of judges ruling 'for' him or 'against' him. Others among the nine were appointed by Republicans.

What if we found that, of the six judges that ruled 'for' him, five of them were Trump-appointed. What pattern would that suggest? That judges appointed by any other president than Trump are biased against him, or that judges that Trump appointed are biased for him?

Without more data and context, whatever pattern you think you are seeing is probably a pattern you want to see.

They only point out the 1 Trump appointee.....whom we are supposed to assume that he/she should have voted in Trumps favor because of the appointment but didn't. Therefore Trump is in the wrong since his own judge voted against him. It ain't that hard to grasp.

After the title you know the rest of the story without even reading it. This is a continuing problem with the progressive leftist press.....

Hmmm, is anyone else detecting a pattern here?
Yes. Trump and his minions keep breaking the law.

Oh, there's definitely a pattern of presidents overreaching in power. Who was the last President who didn't have at least some executive actions blocked by judges?

Since EO's became the norm.....probably none. I wish Congress would outlaw EO's (except as the prez acting in the capacity of CinC.)

So you used a misleading title ie: giving the impression that it was a news story. That's sad.
There's no need for you to disingenuously pose as being clueless and misled.

I think EOs are fine as long as they stick to the powers of the executive. I definately want Congress to start taking action to codify some of these EOs. Putting the force of law behind them is critical.
