I learned a new word today.

St. Joseph the Hesychast, who was the spiritual father of Elder Ephraim, memory eternal, and who was himself part of a long line of Athonite Hesychasts. Hesychasm becomes endangered about every 150 years or so; the population of the Holy Mountain is cyclical, but what tends to happen is that when it looks in danger of disappearing from Mount Athos, monks such as St. Nicodemus the Hagiorite and St. Macarius of Corinth in the 18th century, or St. Paisos and St. Joseph in the 20th century, will get it going again. Meanwhile hesychasm is practiced in many other parts of the Orthodox Church.

For laity, there is a simpler alternative, which I follow, which is to simply say the Jesus Prayer. I, like most Orthodox, and also some traditional Lutherans and high church Anglicans, do venerate our glorious lady Theotokos and ever Virgin Mary, as we find it helps us draw closer to her Son, our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ, who reigns together with His unoriginate Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages.

Now that I think about it, it’s also odd that the definition of “love” that can break such a curse is so loose that it can be met by a complete stranger who did nothing but go out and kiss a corpse.
It's a fairy tale. And a Disney-fied one at that.

That said, as Christians, we need to approach these kinds of cultural discussions with Godly love, humility, and understanding, especially toward one another.

There's also a matter of truth of which love cannot exist without. You cannot love without the truth. The way evil people love is still evil for they lack in truth.

The woke agenda is forcing a twisted version of reality down our heads.

People who aren't racist would still prefer to marry someone of their own race/culture for many valid and good reasons. Mixed race marriage doesn't happen in 100% of the population. That is absurdly unrealistic. It's a certifiable lie/deception.

You don't have to marry someone from another race to prove you're not racist. You don't need to have a racially diverse workforce to prove you're not a racist employer. It's just ridiculous because some races have bigger population than others and it differs in different places.

The hyper woke agenda just isn't realist and there is no truth in it. It can only thrive through insecurity and ironically the mainstream media is also molding the masses into being insecure. Probably because insecure people waste more money and resources on things they don't really need. They're good for $$business$$.

That message was directed at all Christians, regardless of our political leanings or the sub-groups we associate with. I completely understand your frustrations, especially when it can feel like there’s a deliberate push to erase or redefine aspects of our culture. And I agree, truth and love go hand-in-hand. You really can’t have one without the other.

That said, I want to be clear that I’m not trying to take sides on this issue. My main point is that, above all else, we’re called to love God and love our neighbors. That command doesn’t change, regardless of what’s happening in Hollywood, media, or politics. Even if there’s some intentional over-representation or cultural messaging at play, it doesn’t remove our responsibility to respond with grace, wisdom, and gentleness.

We absolutely have the right to voice our concerns, but we’re called to do so in a way that reflects the character of Christ.

The character of Christ can range from calm and/or joyful, child-like demeanor to that of turning over the tables of money changers, scattering their coins, and ofc sharp rebuke of the Pharisees and calling them sons of the devil.

Jesus likes to chill during a life and death struggle during a storm in the middle of a lake and rouse people's anger during a peaceful gathering and better yet, in a holy temple!

He angered so many people, the majority voted for His death.

Are you really sure you want to handle things the way Jesus did?

I personally don't want to because I selfishly love my life and I don't want to be troubled or even killed by standing up for the truth the way Jesus did.
